Give him credit after he wins the west or gets to the playoff (since a team obviously can get to the playoff without winning the west).
Those are the goals. His record can be 100-15 or something but if he never wins the west or gets to the playoff he’s done nothing.

I’m surely not excusing the loss I’m saying that the negatives are blown way out of proportion and the positives are ignored or devalued. They’re basically the LSU fan version of ANTIFA.

Also, that's the nature of being a top major program. A win over Troy isn't even a blip on the screen. A loss can tank a season. That's just the nature of it. We're in the SEC and shouldn't lose to even the best Sun Belt teams

The fact that people have to ask if he’ll ever be given credit for anything says everything about that potion of the fansbase. We’ve improved since he got here that’s not debateable that’s a fact. Of course he needs hardware that’s the goal but look at our last 3 coaches and their beginnings.
Saban - inherited a 3-8 team went 8-4
Miles - inherited a top 5/10 program went 11-2
Ogeron - inherited a team consistently in the teens and is 9-3
So he’s right in the middle exactly where anyone rational would expect for his first year.

We aren’t a top tier program right now. We’ve been ranked in the teens 4 of the last 5 years that’s Miles not O we haven’t won a division crown in 8 years. That’s not a top tier program. You guys continue to use our status from 10 years ago to describe where we’ve been for the last half decade and it’s completely false.

You want proof? Miles last 29 games he was 19-10 65% Ogeron is 15-5 since taking over that’s 75% winning pct that’s improvement.

In terms of fan base, resources, talent pool, etc we are a top tier program. The results haven't been there due to lackluster coaching. My point which you deflect from is that a program of our caliber will always have more to lose than to gain from playing a team like Troy.

Can only beat who is on schedule. Also three freshman linemen early in year because of injuries. As freshmen linemen grew we got better. If you cannot agree to that well you just want to bitch. Oh Yeah Geaux Tigers!

frick you are helplessly simple minded. You did not address my point. A program of our caliber and/or with our potential should be expected to beat Troy. Losing to them is a way bigger deal than beating them.

Madking you are correct. Look at A&M resources out the arse. My personal opinion (FWIW) they won't win crap. It is the culture.
