Forget it
You’ll get down voted into submission
Even though he deserves some credit he won’t get it because he isn’t a marquee name

I notice this every game.. dude has 0 input in what's going on... other than calling horrible 3rd down timeouts

He deserves credit for avoiding all out collapse after the shite storm he created and getting the train back on track. That said, our schedule was weaker than it's been in years. Hard to take a whole lot from this year. Next year is where we know if he's really the guy to bring us back to the top

Cue the mental gymnastics to explain away terrible seasons by both Herman and Fisher.

If you give him credit for turning the ship around after looking like complete arse the first 5 games, you have to also recognize it’s his responsibility and fault that we looked so bad that first part of the season. If we could have played the whole season the way we should have we’d be going to the playoffs or NY6. Same story every year , just new coach

So it's fair to say they get all the blame when the team loses too right?

Did I miss where LSU won something that mattered this season?

Every win matters. That's why you play the games. Here's is some perspective for you. We came back from 20 points down to beat the team that beat two teams ranked number 1 at the time. We also beat the team that beat the current number 1 ranked team. That's a pretty decent resume.

The team could have folded after the Troy loss and didn't. Whether you want to admit it or not that is due to coaching.

He doesn't need credit. His record speaks for itself. The O haters are just miserable pukes. Just enjoy LSU football.

Interim Coaches are not Head Coaches. /thread

Was he not doing gameprep at LSU and USC?

Was he not structuring practice/film time at LSU/USC?

Particularly with the two extended sessions+replicating success this year we know the interim performances werent a fluke/product of rallying for the interim.

The only thing that didnt show was sustained success. Herman is still a huge ? in regards to that and FIsher has been on a massive downward spiral since Winston left.

I bring them up because they were the two that were the other options.

This.

Jimbo wasn't coming here last year. He thought he would be competing for a national championship. Now that he lost his QB he is deserting FSU like a rat from a sinking ship. The Aggies can have him as far as i am concerned.

Do you give Canada credit for scoring 7 vs Miss St? Or Aranda for the D giving up 465 yards?

Does Aranda get credit for giving up 363 yards and 24 points to Troy?

Does Canada get credit for scoring 10 points vs Bama?

I'm not an O apologist or supporter. I'm an LSU fan. The issue is you can't give credit to the coordinators for wins and good performances sans the HC and lay blame at the feet of the HC for losses without laying blame at the coordinators feet as well.

I know the next response will be , but O and the Troy interference. Honest question, putting yourself in the HC's shoes. With the OL issues, WR struggles early on, QB learning new system, ridiculous number of penalties and even run game problems, would you have told your OC to simplify the offense until they get their footing?

I'm just trying to think logically and remove any Orgeron bias (either way). I know that's hard on here and a futile endeavor, but you can't blame me for trying.

Talk about jumping through some hoops to make the medicine go down smoother. Wow.

It's all about what the expectations should be at LSU. Not my expectations. THE expectations. And that is to win games over the MSU's and Troy's of the world.

What the group of "O turned the ship around" folks don't seem to admit or even acknowledge is that he led the ship into the storm in the first place.

That is the concerning part of this guy as a coach. He LEADS his program(s) into storms instead of calm waters.

How about this. I give him credit for not sinking the ship completely in his first season.

Look at who we beat this year. Auburn is our only good win and they still ended up with 3 losses. 5 teams we played this year fired their coaches. If this were a normal year in the SEC, we're probably at least a 4 loss team best case.

I agree. We should expect to win every game, but this a thread about giving credit to Ogeron. He did right the ship after the loss to Troy and he should get credit for that. Now if you want to start a thread about how we should of had a better season go ahead and start one. I will agree to that too.

Maybe when he wins the West, or beats Alabama, or not lose to Troy.
