I mean had UGA won that game what would they have anything to fallback on? I mean LSU blew out UGA last year? Does that even register with them? So all i can say is thanks UGA I just hope LSU beats Ut because if not you will never hear the end of how they have dominated the SEC over the last few years

LSU beat an undefeated UGA team in mid October. They beat a UGA team in the Sugar Bowl who didn’t care because they thought they were playoff bound. Whatever helps them sleep at night though.

All I hear from LSU is how dominant and great their new offense is.. After one game.. Against GA Southern lol. I don't care about Georgia but if you say that you can also throw in us beating OK in the red river shootout. We went 1-1 against OK.

The best argument I have seen is about the Florida game last year. We gave up 200 yards rushing and Texas is better. But...our 2 nose tackles weren’t there and phillips didn’t play if I remember correctly. Shelvin/Ika is the biggest improvement on this team.

It's just how fans work.

We as LSU fans do the same shite.

Let them be disappointed when we beat their arse.

I keep hearing this same narrative over and over from UT fans. The majority I've talked to seem to have no idea that LSU even played Georgia last season. I don't believe the bulk of the UT fans watch college football, they seem to only watch UT highlights.
Being in Austin, I know several "diehard" UT fans that have no clue about any other teams and what's going on in college football. It's kinda weird.
I've told a few of them that if they are going to hang their hat on the win over UGA, they need to do their homework and watch what LSU did to them.

And y'all keep saying the game is different between Georgia because of final score.
If you know about texas last few years you would know that people bitch about herman playing it to conservative with a lead.
First half was 20-7 texas...tom played conservative on offense rest of game.
We scored to start the 4th to make it 28-7 then coasted

Georgia scored with 15 secs left to make it 28-21

Lsu 16-0 first half and 17pts in the 4th qtr

Fromm threw for 200 yds in both games.
Vs lsu swift was high rusher with 72yds

Vs texas it was holyfield for 62 both on 12 carries.

The only difference is lsu kept scoring while herman tends to turtle and protect leads.

In the ou game we went into the 4th up 45-24. Then herman took foot off of the gas to kill clock and we had to salvage the win with a fg.

So the georgia games arent that different to me. We both did whatever we wanted on the bulldogs

I’d buy this argument if he took the foot off the gas and the score stayed the same.

But, you let them put 14 points on you. Did he take the defense off the field? Doesn’t seem like a good way to “protect your lead”

An LSU team with personnel that isn’t playing Saturday beat Georgia last year

A UT team with personnel that isnt playing Saturday beat Georgia last season.

Niether of those teams will play each other on Saturday so the results are irrelevant.

In 2018 we beat Ga at Tiger Stadium.

Texas beat Ga at a neutral site.

Comparing 2018 games is pointless anyway. In 2019 La Tech > Ga Southern.

What they fail to realize is that Georgia's defense didn't get a lot of pressure on QBs last year (they couldn't get pressure on Burrow last year and the line was a mess) and they didn't take that bowl game seriously because they feel they were slighted by not being in the playoffs. We'll see how Ehlinger handles constant pressure being put on him. I think he throws at least 2 picks.

Charles, Magee and Deculus played like shite also in that Florida game. Shelvin may wreck a lot of their dreams of running on LSU.

Man, who gives a hoot what folks are pointing at? When the game is over one set of fans is going to be pointing at the scoreboard, and that will trump all of this baloney. I remember Oregon, and I remember Wisconsin. You seem to have selective memory.

This is the truth. The Texas victory over Georgia was just like the LSU victory over UCF. Both were bad beatdowns with closer final scores due to garbage time points. But opponent fans, wanting data to fit their point of view, look at nothing but the final score and call it close.

I can’t blame them from ignoring La Tech and trumpeting Georgia.

The aftershocks of defeat will look good on them!
