I've got a 15 yr old that can empty a station of jambalaya and cokes. I spend at least 50$ at the concession stand every game.

As long as us dumbasses do that, the vendors are going to keep hanging it to us.

Section 415 south endzone, at beginning of game had two options a completely frozen bottle of water water or a hot bottle of water. Nothing cold.

Cup and Ice cost money.

It's not the money. It's the fact that if it was free, the line to get some would never end.

I think you missed the point. I was referring to charging for a cup of ice when the individual purchased a drink that's supposed to be cold, yet is not.

I'm not asking for Aramark to just hand out cups of ice to anyone that wants one.

Me in line on Saturday...

Me: 2 large waters
Cashier: $13.00, swipe your card.

Waters are handed to me and are warm.

Me: Mam, these waters aren't even cooled. Can I get some ice?
Cashier: $4.50/cup of ice.

Either tell me they're warm before I buy them, or offer some solution to your mess.

Now I agree with that

Of course... you ordered 2 large waters... you didn't order 2 large COLD waters....

If I remember correctly last year for an afternoon game LSU sold bottles of water for $2 and that had huge rolling tubs of them everywhere. So why don’t do the same thing this year Joe???

I am not in any way defending Aramark. I've heard they have problems in other cities.

They are a large corporation. However, they are dependent on local workers and local management, and my guess is, that's where the problem is.

There are many places accross the country where low-wage workers are competent. Many places, Wendy's and McDonald's employees are perfectly fine and the locations are well-run. A place like Dave and Busters in most cities is a fun night out with great employees.

But this is LA. We have the crappiest forms of life working these jobs, and the management is just the crappy employees who don't quit.

Maybe they should go back to the volunteer groups.

This was a money grab by Alleva and LSU. They got a guaranteed minimum of $2.4 mil per year out of Aramark, something they didn't have with Compass.

They would have hired a number of other companies (centerplate, sodexo, etc) with a much better reputation if they wanted to improve food quality and service.

They are so, so slow

I walked down toward the end of halftime to grab a drink in the south upper. I figured there would be a line to stand in. What I didn't expect to see was that every concession stand had a line backed up all the way to the railing, to the point where people could barely use the concourse to walk back and forth. I decided to do without and went back to my seat - luckily my seat had enough shade to be able to stand it.

Everyone should tweet your experiences to @lsugameops. Enough people flood the account and they have to pay attention. It’s more effective than sending emails which are not publicly seen.

Better concessions at a HS football game.
And better prices at Disney.
And better service at the DMV.

Get your shite together LSU.

FYI - Coke charges concession company high prices. here's what a $7 bottle of Liter water sale looks like:

$7.00
-.70 tax
-1.05 - cost for Liter water
-$3.15 - 50% commission to LSU
-.75 - 12% pay out to NPO group per item for labor
-.60 - Other expenses -include Cleaning supplies, insurance,IT, marketing, vehicle lease, R&M, and about 40 other line item expenses.......

Profit before taxes - $.75. 10% profit is an industry standard for concessions.

Aramark has just about the worst rating for any food vendor out there.......

Not sure how we decided to go with them
