Of course you dont want to read FACTS that prove your opinion is ignorant.

If Miles only succeeded because of Saban then how do you explain how Miles took a shite program and made them respectable?

How did such a bad coach take over a program that had 1 winning season in the previous 13 years and have 3 straight years with winning seasons and had them winning 8 and 9 games?

Saban's 1st 3 years after taking over a
Far better situation= 26 -12

Miles 1st 3 years after taking over a program with 1 winning season from 1988-2000 =21-16

Try to explain that away.

We didn't win because of Les. We won because we were loaded.

So you're saying that all these young men committed to LSU to play football for a man that was a lousy coach?

quote:

we won a national championship in 2003, and then 2004 was a rebuilding year, as we lost a ton of players off that National Championship team. You see Saban didn't have the luxury of being handed over a championship team like Les Miles was handed over in 2005.

You've said that Saban lost 3 games in his 5th year at LSU because "we lost a ton of players off that National Championship team", yet you also say that "Les Miles was handed over a championship team in 2005"

So which is it? Was the roster depleted for the 2004 season? And if it was, how the hell did it become a championship team after a 3 loss season? It can't be both. Do you realize that LSU only signed 13 recruits for the 2005 season? And it sure as hell wasn't Nick Saban coaching those players for the 2005 season and beyond.

Hate Miles all you want. But you can't deny the record that Miles had while he was the head coach. Everything you've posted are your opinions. The stuff some of the other people have posted are actual facts. To argue that just shows your ignorance.

Meanwhile, if Les Miles is so damn spectacular as you two mentally handicapped morons claim he is, then why would no other team touch that loser with a ten-foot poll

He is 63. Please name one 63 year old cfb coach thats been hired in the last 6 years at a p5 program.
Youre knowledge of football is exposed when you say a HC being out of work for 5 months means he sucks as a coach.

Exactly. Saban left Miles a top 5 program yet that same program was in a rebuilding year in just 5 years.
Its telling how he calls Saban's bad years rebuilding and he uses Miles rebuidling years to paint him as a bad coach.

i was excited at what the future could hold for LSU with the right guy. Im pulling like hell for the guy, i just don't have a ton of confidence that we can get to the next level with him.
The "Tri-Head Coach" conglomerate thing (That's basically what we have) with O, Canada and Aranda might work..............

you're right, it just might work beautifully.
or it might fail spectacularly.
or fall somewhere in the middle of those two.

a school like LSU shouldn't be the guinea pig though.
as a top 5-10 job in the country, there is no reason for LSU to have to reach and pray that something might maybe hopefully work.

Everyone praises O as staying out of the coordinators way. Which may or may not be a great thing.

what i'd like to know was what was said in the meetings leading up to Bama game last season.

did Ensminger show that game plan and O said "yep, lets do that" ?
did E offer that game plan and O say "hell, i don't know, you the OC, you make the call" ?
did E have a different plan and O say "nope, we gonna do this instead" ?

none of those 3 boosts my confidence in this trifecta we have going now.

that game plan was the same one that hasn't worked for half a decade now. and THAT was by far the biggest issue people (myself included) had with Les Miles.

and O either signed off on it, didn't look at it, or changed from something else to that one.

to me, in the biggest test of his interimship, his main priority wasn't to beat Bama. it was to go into that game with something different than what has proven to not work many times over now. Even if that something different ultimately didn't work.
