Apparently to most of the rant Ensminger was already out of the running to stay the OC.

Guess when SE was setting records by calling plays against bad defenses CEO was getting all the credit.

When he calls a bad game against Alabama CEO gets non of the blame.

Look, I liked our offensive production in those 3 games, but Ensminger hasn't been an OC in 18 years. What does that tell you?

And we want to permanently give him the reins to our offense???

As I've stated before, no excuses for losing to anyone left on our schedule. I'm for retaining him if he gets done with the season with one loss.

Probably so, but he isn't going to lose another game.

Probably good chance he's out for sure anyway now. Unless he completely turns it all around and dominates the rest of the year which could happen. Idk why people wanna gut our entire staff and bring in jimbo a coach from the ACC that struggles to beat NC every year lol

He will need to run the table in spectacular fashion. 6 first downs against the gumps is not a resume builder Great guy, but I just don't see LSU going this way. Damn shame. Hate to lose that defensive staff

but I honestly think that Taf has had their sights set on Fisher and it would have taken beating Bama for Orgeron to have a chance.
You are correct Sir.

The deal was done last season. It was done!

Then, enter FKA and Jindal to frick the whole thing up.

FKA over $$$$ and "Public Perception" of LSU spending a huge amount on a Football Coach in the midst of all the financial problems and budget cuts. (Never mind that the LSUAD is Self-Supporting)

Jindal over his friendship, support and going to bat for buddy Schembechler.

That was a "Double Whammy" that was too much to overcome!..............................................................

BTW, thought I was watching a Schembechler/Cameron Offense in the Bama game. No creativity or imagination. Ensminger really disappointed me there and pretty much forfeited any chance of being hired as permanent OC. (CEO stood by and did nothing) You don't pull out the "SOS" play calling against Bama and expect to get the permanent gig.

Hopefully, it all gets corrected after the season.

I know a lot of Alums and long time die-hard fans (Like myself) that have supported the program for 4-5 decades that are on the verge of abandoning it if the "Right Thing" is not done at season's end.

We're all Not That Anxious to get into that stadium any longer because of the declining atmosphere within. Been there. Done that.

Due to the obnoxious recorded musical garbage being forced onto our senses, combined with all the traffic/parking problems, combined with football team mediocrity, the "LSU Game Day Experience" has devolved into an annoying "Exercise in Futility."

It's right there at the brink of "Not being worth the Trouble" and at the tipping point now to where it's actually preferable to stay home and watch on TV.

Of course, winning Big cures all and makes all the new "Annoyances and Hassles" worth it.

That's why this new Head Coach hire is so critical for the program. It's either going to be fixed and elevated into an SEC Champion or it's going to geaux downhill into further mediocrity, with an even higher % of Tiger Stadium being filled with the newbie "Corporate Ticket" types that could really care less about LSU football.

The Wine & Cheese will be flowing if it's not fixed with a Fisher or Herman Offense and Aranda/Orgeron Defense..................

Fisher is not worth the price we will have to pay

Not a program changing coach at all

LSU would be wise to hire a young Herman type of guy or keep coach O

Jimbo is not a Saban type of coach

If Lsu hires O, within a year this board will be crying for Les to come back.

It is obvious that you are the smartest person on here and that being the case please tell all us why Ed Orgeron is not being courted by any major program in America?

Why was he not already there then? All of these schools that are after Coach O yet he was unemployed when LSU hired him.

I thought that winning out would almost guarantee the job. If he was going to lose a game and still get the job, it had to be Bama in a competitive game (which it was - and it wasn't).

So, I think he has to win out, and fairly convincingly against Arky - no more Les Miles 23-20 games against unranked Arkansas teams, having to sweat out the last play of the game. We don't have to blow either of the other teams out, but I think Arkansas should be fairly lopsided for O to keep the job - against Florida and aTm - a win is a win.
