Why was he not already there then? All of these schools that are after Coach O yet he was unemployed when LSU hired him.

Should already be out of the running. Losing to bama is fine but had two weeks to come up with a game plan and you score 0 points?

Lose 17-7 fine. That shows me the offense at least made an attempt to try a few different things

I'm thinking he's hanging by a thread right now. That loss to Bama sure didn't help. He needed to win that game. I mean it wasn't poor coaching, Bama was just the better team, especially that defensive front.

I'm thinking if LSU loses to Arky........

If O loses any of the last 3 games he should be out. Even if wins the remaining games I'm not so sure he should be offered the job. Embarrassing effort by the offense against Bama. There is no excuse for failing to score.

yes he's out, no doubt about it. first, a lot can be said of a coach on how their team response to a loss, and we are looking for a coach that can change the trends of the previous coach. i can say from little rock that the arkansas faithful have been talking sh*t all week thinking this is not a tall task ahead of them resulting from the previous yrs, they thinking bielema has lsu's number. ive frantically disagree all week feeling that coach o with bring the wood. i have alot of side bets in the office on the game being im the only lsu fan in the building...sh*t the whole town it seems like

We have never done well against arky with the present schedule. The open date should be after Bama, not before.
Hate to say it, we LOSE!
But that's not his fault, win 2 of the last 3, give him 3 years with a 2 option. Should be about right.

Lose and its over as far as head coach.

Coach "O" is done with a loss to Arkansas and only if he wins his last three games and a bowl game should he retain the position.

He deserves the job with the close loss to BAMA. I would have liked to see a more productive offense and we looked a little Milesish on offense but the truth be told this BAMA team beat LSU 8 out of 10 tries.

If LSU don't give coach "O"" the head job if he wins out they are dumber than I thought they were. Speaking as of right now the only thing LSU need is a good offensive coordinator that can serious coach and teach QB's. Jimbo Fisher is not the answer for our program he would be another Les Miles good coach but not willing to change!!

Why OC?

He has had one bad game against Bama like CEO did.

Yes there is no way this team should lose to Arkansas.

Having 6 straight losses to Bama and 4 straight to Arkansas at the end of the season I think keeps him out. Beating Arkansas and the remainder of the schedule keeps him in the running.

After the pathetic showing of the offense in the gump game, CEO will have to be very impressive and win the last 3 and the bowl to have a chance. So if he does that I give him a 3 year deal, with the damn understanding you have to beat the half witted gumps.

We have a tight ends coach running the offense. I can't fault him that much for the performance of the offense. He's not an offensive guy. We are in a quandary. If we hire an offensive minded head coach like Herman, then we know it is definitely going to be an upgrade on offense. If we keep CEO, then we keep our best recruiter and take a chance on him hiring a good OC the caliber of Aranda on defense. At this point, I really don't know what the best option is. I also saw CEO give DE a verbal lashing after mismanaging the game clock and showing his frustration. I don't know if this is a good thing or not. That kind of game management didn't work for him at Ole Miss.
