And if memory serves me correctly, LSU stopped scheduling Tulane shortly after a 40-point blowout loss in the Dome.....so there.....

Memory serves you poorly. We did lose 48-7 in the Dome in 1981 and continued to play Tulane home and home through 1994.

Ole Miss lost 5 of 7 to USM and threw up its hands and cried uncle.

you do know Tulane was in the SEC correct?

Yeah, and so was Sewanee at one point....so what's your point?

Ole Miss all-time record vs Tulane

41-28

Yeah, we did not have very good teams back in the horse-and-buggy days when football was a club sport and there was no recruiting and no real stadiums and football was just played for fun by a bunch of frat guys.....

But our record in the modern era, even with all the troubles of the last few decades, still ranks us in the top 25 nationally.....

Dude, you're getting railroaded. Just pack it up; it's only going to get uglier from here.

Ole Miss record vs Sewanee- 6-8-1

my point is your attempt to come around here and try and flame about playing LA schools has been a total failure on your part.

He's the Don Quixote of Ole Miss. According to him Jevan Sneed is a better QB than Tebow.

Believe it or not, it was not a flame at all, just a question, as I stated in the OP.

LSU had not traditionally scheduled 3 in-state teams every year and it is really odd--I mean, imagine Florida scheduling Florida International, UCF, and USF in the same season or South Carolina scheduling Wofford, Charleston Southern, and South Carolina State or Tennessee scheduling Memphis, Middle Tennessee, and Chattanooga.

It is ODD and I just wanted to know if this odd phenomenon was going to continue.......

OK, I mount the cross for those losses to Sewanee back in 1872 in Pastor Smith's barnyard by those 5-5, 105 pound frat boys in dirty T-shirts

I know but it's so much more fun to despise each other's school

No, they scheduled Charleston Southern instead of USF and Troy instead of UCF....do you even have a point? A schedule of FIU, UCF, a nd USF would be much more appealing.

To put it in perspective, ULL and TECH both would handle up on FIU, Charleston and Troy. Making these worthless games a bit less worthless.

I can also guarantee Tech and ULL will travel with nice sized qroups (more so than Charleston Southern and FIU and Troy) to create at least SOME excitement in Tiger Stadium

If we are gonna schedule cupcakes why not play the in state schools? What do the fans get out of playing three games against Alabama school of the blind or some other no name?

I like the idea of playing the instate guys even though they will never be at LSU's level it still gives them exposer. Hell be proud of your state even though you hate the other team.

FWIW, I think it is brilliant that Ole Miss schedules Memhis. It gives them exposure in a large population.

What the hell does playing LA Tech and ULaLa do? Nothing. We already have a solid recruiting base in those areas.

I just think it served its purpose and now it's time to move on. For years we heard LSU was afraid to play the state schools or LSU never tries to help the other state schools. We, Skip and LSU, laid both those myths to rest. LSU has poured millions into the sports budgets of all the La FBS schools this decade and played each FBS school in the state more than once this decade. The all had their shot at glory and to this point, were found to be lacking.

Pick out one to play each year if we need a home game, but no more 2 or 3 games a year.

FCS McNeese handled up on ULL two years ago. We'll see how the return trip goes.

Tulane vs. McNeese coming up in two weeks.

If they beat Tulane, do you think they are more likely to get the game over other LA schools?
