.....or is this going to be a permanent feature of your schedules?

I get playing Tulane OR Louisiana Tech, but Tulane and Tech and ULL in the same year?

I know this was Saban's idea and I never understood it. I wonder if he will try to force the Bama AD to schedule UAB and Troy every year.

Anyway, just asking out of curiosity......

I thought it was more of Skip's idea to keep the money in state.. so to speak.

It was Skip's idea. He figured if we were going to play crappy teams, might as well keep the money in-state.

When y'all replace Southeastern and Northern Arizona with USM and anybody else with a pulse, you can ask that question.

Why are you bitching about our schedule? People always bitch about our ooc schedule, but UF is our permanent opponent and we still have played VT, Arizona state, and washington the past 5 years. Plus next year, we play UNC and WVU. This year our schedule includes BAMA and Ole Miss on the road from the west, UGA on the road and UF. Real cupcacke schedule there.

Geez, why so defensive? It was just a question.

For the record I hate playing both of those teams, but supposedly the reason we got stuck with them was that TCU got tired of waiting on us waiting on ESPN for a date for the South Carolina game, so they went ahead and scheduled someone else.

As for Southern Miss, we will never schedule them again because we have absolutely nothing to gain by playing them and there are dozens of better choices in terms of exposure and financial attractiveness.....

OK. I just remember Saban being gung-ho about it in an interview.

Anyway, how far out did he schedule these games? And is it continuing?

Neither Ole Miss or even MSU ever loses recruits to USM....well, maybe one every 5 years, but that is about it.

No kid that can play in the SEC wants to waste his college career in CUSA playing East Carolina and Central Florida in front of 25,000 people

Is the Tulane deal basically done? Some NOLA.com article I read basically made it sound like Tulane did not want to come to BR again.

I hope so. I can see playing one a year, but 2 and 3 a year is asking a lot of the LSU season ticket holder.

I think its been a big money maker for the Louisiana schools even if some to their fans seem to not understand the advange of only traveling one hr in reducing expenses.

I'm not sure it was Nick's idea or Skip.

I think it makes sense. Unlike Ole Miss, they don't threaten us.
