Snap out of it Tiger fans. We will right the ship!

There is no pleasing most of you. Who knows how this hire will go? Why not just let it play out and reserve judgement for when/if it fails? I'm amazed to see that Les is still able to convince all these recruits to come to Baton Rouge knowing that the fans can and will turn on you at a moments notice. It's the most wishy washy fanbase in the country. You all can praise Les Miles for bringing in great recruiting classes, but it's all his fault when they're so good that they decide it's in their best interest to enter the draft as underclassmen. I could go on and on about all of the hypocritical comments out there, but I just want to know why some of you even bother being fans with such a negative perspective on everything that is LSU football? Wouldn't it be easier and lead to a happier lifestyle to just jump ships and become Alabama fans? Or Ohio State fans? Hell just become bandwagon fans and jump ships every season if that makes you happy. Whatever happened to a healthy debate? The only debate that goes on around here lately is about misspelled words or grammatical errors.

So let me get this right...in order to not be a "retarded" fan I'm supposed to cry about every thing that LSU does from behind my computer screen? Do you really think that affects anything that Les and company do when it comes to coaching and/or making personnel decisions? Get over the fact that you have no control over any of those decisions and trust the guys that we have in place to do their jobs.

Add QB , about players leaving . A contract is a contract . I remember one LSU team where 3rd players hung around to be a Champion .

It's funny that you mentioned fans jumping ship to Alabama and Ohio State whenever before the coaches who are there now, now that they're doing great, their fans wanted change too. And they got their Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. They weren't satisfied with the mediocrity we are seeing today. They didn't put up with Mike Shula or even Jim Tressel, who won games but hadn't won any big ones. Those schools wouldn't be on top of the college football world today if they had your mentality. Chew on that.

We are all LSU fans. It's just the 3 ring circus that is the coaching. Those of you that think Miles is the best; are like boyfriends that think that the bitch girlfriend you have is the only girl in the world and don't want to dump her.

We all want LSU to have the best in order to compete at the highest level. This appears to be a downgrade anyway to cut it. Auburn got Muschamp. A&M got Chavis. LSU got Steele? There is a reason he wasn't a DC, a darn good one! LSU shouldn't be the place for second chances. We all think LSU deserves better!

It is irrational to blame our head coach for this. I wouldn't even feel comfortable for Les lying to these kids and telling them they should come back. It's not like all of our underclassmen are failing miserably when they leave early. Most are thriving. But of course Les gets no credit for that.

First of all Jim Tressel was a very good coach at Ohio state. He won a championship and a ton of conference titles. He was run out because of allegations about his players making money against NCAA rules not because of a fan forum like tigerdroppings was calling for his head.
Secondly Urban Meyer and Nick Saban are going to go down as 2 of the top 5 coaches of all time if not better than that (only coaches with titles at multiple schools). They are not our coaches. No need to compare to them.

You must not know any true bama fans if you think we are the worst. I only know 3 that aren't bandwagon and they are insufferable.
As for the Steele hire, it just seems that he was the only guy who didn't laugh at what was proposed to him. I can't wait to see the stipulations in his contract.
The long list of accredited, accomplished DCs that were supposed to be interviewing, and we get a washed up position coach.
I guess it could be worse. We could have landed Stoops.

I know a few. Honestly I feel our fans are much worse. Alabama fans are annoying and cocky at times, but deservedly so. LSU fans are just irrational. Actually I take that back. It's really just on tigerdroppings. Most fans that I know and talk LSU sports with are pretty reasonable. I don't even get on here after losses most of the time. It never gets old to see all the excuses we have when we lose games like blaming the refs.
