Take the rest of the day off moron. The issue you brought up is who owns who, not about settling for second best. I'm guessing 99% of the rantard nation minus the gump trolls want to win EVERY game vs the Gumps.

Conference Championships are great in years

They are "great" in any yr cause they enrich a team's history and elevate that team's historical standing within the SEC.

No one is saying it equates to a NC, but calling it "meaningless" is just retarded.

If they beat us this yr, he own it. IMO. How you gonna sell it to Fournette, Robinson, etc? #cyberbadass

We were extremely fortunate to have won the first game. Don't be delusional like the Gumps can be. If they make half their FG...we lose that game

The whole problem with this argument is they isn't have a good kicking game.

If they had a great kicking game and missing those kicks was abnormal that would be one thing. They were attempting FGs that were not in their range and not even close to being considered points left on the field.

The media and ignorant fans would just rather say Saban is a god and didn't frick up those coaching decisions on 4th down.

We won 11/5. Bama won 1/9. There's no editorializing reality into something untrue.

This

The idea that you can say Bama is necessarily better from 1/9 required you to remove any context from the game, completely forget 11/5, and dismiss the fact that Bama didn't get into the endzone until the end of the game.

The only thing that could be said is it was an unprecedented move for the voters to disregard the rest of the nation and give Bama a mulligan. Sad for college football as it totally set the precedence of the "eye test". You know the thing we heard for a decade where USC was the nation's best team regardless of their accomplishments on the field.

You really aren't lucky when you play a great team heads up on their field and beat them.

LSU made their field goals because they were chip shots. That means you made deeper drives into their territory than Alabama was able to sustain in LSU territory.

LSU did much better on the ground than Alabama did. Our passing game was lousy betweeen JL and JJ but when you put up almost 150 yards on the ground against Bama and hold them to 96 yards rushing you have done some work.
Mother frickin all of this. We flat out beat Bama, we did not get "lucky." I can't believe some of our own fans still don't seem to realize this.

When SEC titles become meaningless, it's evidence of a portion of our fan base who have lost perspective of what defines success.

Both programs are in the top 5 programs in the country when teams like that play each other you expect for it to be close. If the 2 teams play 10 times I would expect the series to be 5-5 or 6-4 one way or the other not a huge advantage for either side. Main thing is people from Louisiana love to talk about how great saban is and forget many people wanted him fired multiple times before he left.

Everytime LSU is brought up on radio and tv, they have to bring up something about Bama.
You must understand the tremendous bias against (and ignorance) that exists toward the South and the SEC on the parts of the midwest/east/Pacific media clique.

That both LSU and Bama are mentioned in the same breath indicates something of a sea change. It used to be that only Bama was a known quantity, then for a while, Florida under Urban and Spurrier was known. But now it's LSU and Bama - we are mentioned with the sacred Tide because we have finally become known in those cornfield and concrete hinterlands.

I don't disagree. I'm jaded from the mulligan bowl.
