There's no e in Stony and Stony Brook is 2 words. I don't mind you being stupid, just don't be that stupid.

Big 10

For what it's worth a win over the Big 10 in baseball is about equivalent to a win against the Sun Belt in football

26-2 last 28 games is good no matter who you play.

I just hope they can give us a hard fought game.

Why the hell would you want this? I want to win easily and not sweating my balls off every inning because its a close game.

Dudes beat Nicholls twice. They OWN Thibodaux! Hopefully they learned enough while they were down there to not call it a "poor-boy."

This is a solid team. But losing this series would be the worst loss in LSU sports history since Saban and UAB.

50 runs and 49 hits in the Regional, sounds like they play with a different bat than we use.

Wow! Thanks!
I bet you're one of those who has spelled "definitely" with an 'a' at some point in your life.

Guys, this is not LSU football verus Nicholls State or some division 2 school. Stony Brook can swing the bat and they have a legit ace who might can shut us down for one game.

On any given weekend, we can beat Florida and South Carolina in a series or we can lose two to Auburn and Vanderbilt. What team are we gonna be this upcoming weekend ? We cannot afford to take any team for granted in a 3 game set. Stony Brook is coming in a huge underdog according to the media and fans. They have nothing to lose. We have to treat them like we would South Carolina or Florida.

I think the Tigers will probably win the series but SB was very impressive in Coral Gables. You have to respect your opponent.

Know as much as the next guy. Had season tickets for years before moving out of Louisiana. Alex Box is a definite advantage for LSU and I expect the Tigers to win the super regional but only a baseball neophyte would take any visiting team lightly much less one who just won a regional.

Stony Brook was swept by the one decent team they played. It's funny to see people complain about LSU's 4 games against RPI 200+ all season long, yet all of a sudden show some fear if a team that has over 40 games against RPI 200+. Stony Brook is not on LSU's level in any remote way.

They have a 1st round pick, won their regional by scoring 50 runs in 5 games. They have the most wins in the tournament.

The only teams you can only beat are the teams on your schedule. They're coming in here with nothing to lose, I'd expect these games to be a lot closer than people are thinking.

See Fresno St. circa 2008.
i guess you don't know much about Fresno State's baseball history. They in no way, shape, or form compare to Stony Brook, or vice versa.

".. Be careful what you wish for. Yeah, their schedule is week but they have still won more games than anyone else in the tournament. Their bats just dropped 50 runs in 5 games in Miami. Their centerfielder was just drafted in the 1st round and they have a legit ace. They are a good team brah... "

I agree, even if I can't spell their name! I have lots of respect for "Stoneybrook" and do not have the supreme confidence in this Tiger team that many people do. I know we can and should win but certainly will not take that for granted!

They averaged 10.2 points per game in their 5 regional games. Should be some good games.

I learned a long time ago that any body can come to your house and whip you. I hope the team doesn't have the "who cares" attitude like some of those that post on here. Give them the respect they are due. They weren't even heard of until the regionals, and now they are with the big boys. I don't care who they are or who they played, if they weren't good they would have folded by now. I hate David and Goliath games. It's always a win-win for the underdogs, and it's a lose-lose for the studmuffins.
