Rohan Davey in 2001 actually threw for 21 touchdowns but because the NCAA did not keep bowl stats in with regular season games until 2002 he’s only credited with 18

Should the ncaa fix this?

Yes and they should put a tombstone on Alabama’s campus for him murdering their defense.

What does adding those 3 td’s today accomplish?

No, they should quit counting bowl stats and revert back to the previous system.

Bowls are more meaningless now than ever. Plus with playoffs, the stats are a joke.

That is another reason we shouldn't compare present athletes to past Athletes.

yes absolutely.

we know how many yards they threw total, it’s just a matter of recognizing it.

Yes. Kinda.

It'd be cool if they did, but I don't see it happening. I think individual schools could make note of some of this when talking season/ career records.

For example:

- Kevin Faulk ran for 200 or so as a freshman in the Indy Bowl, giving him 1000 for the season (and 4 straight 1000 yd seasons). Fournette went over 1,000 in his bowl game and a big deal was made about him being the first, but Faulk did it before him.

- Josh Reed had 239 yards receiving (and 2 of Ro's TDs) that would put him tops in single season receiving yards. Chase has that record, but his bowl/ CFP stats are included.

- Ro threw for 444 in the Sugar

If you're going to keep up with stats, why not do it correctly?

I don't get the point here. If LSU is playing I will be watching. I am not celebrating and buying Cheeze it Bowl T-shirts, but I am not going to miss an LSU game just bc it is "meaningless."

Yep, he and Josh Reed started the great "Teabag" challenge unknowingly and metaphorically.

Well, it sounds like you don’t consider it meaningless
