Should LSU have scored a TD instead of taking a knee

I say Yes. LSU should have just handed the ball off for an up the middle run. Nothing fancy. Make the defense stop you. The running backs busted their butt to get down to the 3 only for Miles to have Jennings take a knee. Reward the running backs and give them a chance to score.

Yes. Always score when running at the end of a blow out.

It was probably the right thing to do. But if it were me I would have let one of my freshman backs run it in, emu already won their moral victory

Probably.. This isn't the BCS age anymore where margin of victory isn't a defined component.

At the end of the day people that didn't watch the game will only look at box scores. They will not look at play by play and see that LSU could have scored but did not.

No sense in scoring a td when the game is over...all you are doing is risking injury and running the score up. Win with class.

If i was EMU, I'd be more pissed you rammed it down my throat and then took a pity knee at the 3.

42-22 is not that big of a blow out. Eastern Michigan would have scored if they were given the same chance. Why do they get to keep playing and LSU must automatically give up before the game is over.

Win and it doesn't matter. This game isn't determining our playoff chances. Winning the SEC takes care of that. This game is irrelevant.

Les always does this with cup cakes. Instead of giving players a chance to play & get game experience he try's to keep the game close.

Are you saying we didn't get any young people experience in the game?

They had about 10 running plays prior to the victory knee. The running backs had their chances to make a touchdown but they didn't.

Why not reward Darrel Williams, Darrius Guice, or Nick Brossette? Don't they work hard in the offseason and in practice? Eastern Michigan will remember for the rest of their lives that the halftime score was 20-14, and that they were only trailing 30-22 when the 4th quarter started. The final score doesn't mean anything. Nobody's feelings would have been hurt if LSU's backups and maybe even a freshman scored their first career touchdown by running base plays in the last minute.

FALSE

When the selection committee is tasked with just providing the 4 BEST teams in their vision for a playoff it very much matters how you win.

There is nothing that even prevents an undefeated team from being jumped by a very strong 1 loss team although that should be very hard to do if they are from a power 5 conference. But its certainly possible that you are judging more than 4 undefeated teams as well.

Bottom line. You don't impress the judges by being a good sport.
