Sure. The same chance that a football team has to score 3 TDs in 40 seconds.

Do you? Even if it hasn't happened yet, it could. Unlike EMU coming back from 21 down with under a minute.

False, there is an actual chance for the comeback to happen in baseball. There is actually zero chance in football.

100+ years of MLB baseball and a team has never com back from down 10 with 1 AB left. And the best you can do is that it "could" happen.

Zero chance when taking a knee like we did.

It can, which is why it's a stupid comparison. But please don't let it go. Maybe if you repeat yourself again, the rules of the respective sports will change.

What if that snap was fumbled and returned for a TD? Onside kick. TD. Onside kick. TD. It COULD happen.

True. But Thanks for reminding me of our Baseball comeback against the Anteaters. 2008. Was glorious. I was there.

The day taking a knee in baseball is allowed, your argument will be relevant.

I'm with Cholly Mac on this one.

... Peterson chewed on his cigar and worried. He had to think of some way to fire up the players. They didn't quite realize what they were getting into. Charlie McClendon was a friend of his, but that wasn't going to help any. The fans at Tiger Stadium liked to see an opponent demolished, and Charlie always went along with them. Gene Stallings, the head coach at Texas A & M, had brought in a good ball club the week before and had been killed. Stallings had been bitter about the way they'd been treated and the way LSU, even with a huge lead, was still trying to score with just seconds remaining.

Stallings had said, "I don't see no point in getting a bunch of old boys down and then just keep on kickin' 'em in the head. We was down, we were out cold. I don't think it's sportsmanship to do that. I don't think it teaches your boys anything."

McClendon had just shrugged and said, "That's football. You play to win. What am I going to do, tell some third-stringer that's finally got into a game that he shouldn't play his best so we can hold down the score?"

The day you can't fumble a snap, yours will be too

No, my stance of taking a knee is correct. Thanks though.

You've gotten to the point where all you have is "no. I'm right".

Is taking a knee not playing your best now?

I was serious. If you get the ball at your 2 yard line and you march it down the field to the opponent's 2 and travel 96 yards by only running, you absolutely score a TD. Taking a knee only hurts you.

How many pundits will just look at the score and think, "LSU only won by 20"?

51-22 looks a lot better. It is not a stupid blow out. It is normal.

Les fails to do this to his own detriment. It isn't classy to take a knee at the 2. It is classy to take a knee at midfield. Les doing this makes no sense, really.
