I understand that Fournette is our main offensive spark but I still think it's a good questions because we need him for next year and it affects his NFL draft ranking

Les will ride him like he did Ridley in 2010 and Hill in 2013.

Expect an average of 20 carries a game in SEC play. Probably 10-15 against the cream puffs.

Yes, but when he's being spelled he needs to be on the field at a slot position. Dude has the best hands on the team. Let a LB run with him

If he doesn't touch the ball 25 times they need to be fired

Only difference is Fournette will be back the next year.

You know how everyone keeps talking about having Ben Simmons, and because of his impact we should make the Elite 8? The analogy is the same in LF. You have an alleged once in a generation player in LF, you should be utilizing him to his max. You don't recruit the number player in the country and give him 5 carries(vsArk). You ride his arse into their defensive line and then laugh when LF plows them.

The days of 30-40 carries per game are over. 25 touches is still a lot, but I think he can handle it. The guys behind him are damn strong, too, so share the wealth.

He should get approx 20-25 carries per game and around 15-18 with the cupcakes.... Need to save him for SEC play. He WILL get majority of the carries, but rest will be split by Williams/Ducre/Brossette/Guice

15-18 vs cupcakes?

I like more around the 8-10 range.

Williams, Guice and others are more than capable

Nick Chubb carried the ball over 30 times on 3 different occasions last year.

I don't see why we can't use fournette like that. But with the talent behind him there's really no need to.

However, if he's in a groove and pounding it for 6-7 ypc you've got to keep giving him the ball. Keep giving it to the hot hand. Hate seeing dudes get taken off if they're not tired

Because theres no need to give him the ball that many times. I do remember vs ND he was cramping up I believe and we gave him the ball less. Could have something similar in the Arkansas game (he only had 5 carries)

He's got this year and next.

In both comparisons, Ridley and Hill, they were on their final year. Fournette may be used much differently than we've ever seen before as he has two more guaranteed years.

Williams is way to good to keep on the bench anyway. He is going to need to get his share of carries as well.

Yeah I'd like to see him used a lot less than either of those two because of the fact that we have a whole other year after this season and if he stays healthy and fresh then that would be his best hear but overuse this season could result in a serious injury or just wear

He doesn't need to share carries just for wear and tear... he needs to share so others get some experience. LF and DW are only RB's to have game snaps coming into this year!

I've thought about running him to much as well but if the coaches are in a game situation and that is on their mind then it is an injustice to him and the team. Now if Leonard is suffering from fatigue then don't get him hurt but if you go into a game saying he is only going to get "x" amount of carriers then that's wrong. IMO
