Great thread. I was in the stadium the night they filmed the scenes in the stadium for Everybody's All American.

Someone on the Syracuse board joked about invoking the Mercy Rule. I checked to see if this is a real thing.

It turns out that Texas A&M is one of the few teams in NCAA history to invoke the Mercy Rule (continuous clock) during their 77-0 loss to Oklahoma in 2003.

This explains a lot.

A little more recently (earlier this season), they actually shortened the second half in the 76-0 win for Boston College over Howard (from 15 minute quarters to 10 for the 3rd and 4th).

Yes, that's the kind of powerhouse OOC team Boston College puts on its schedule.
