From Chris Low:

"Since 2000, LSU has played Florida and Georgia a total of 17 times. Auburn has played those two teams 19 times, while Alabama has played them only eight times."

I know some call Miles a whiner but this is a testament to what he is saying.

Bama fans will just tell you to quit bitching.

In the mean time you are preaching to the choir.

How many time did Alabama play Tennessee during the 90s vs LSU?

LSU and Florida are a cross.
Auburn and Georgia are a cross.

He's using only statistics that help support his point.

Things won't change much. Best we can hope for is Alabama's cross in Tennessee to get better.

How many of those were in the SECCG? So they weren't even on their schedule except 4-5 times.

I would have rather played TN in the 90s than FL.

Cool. It was a serious question. Thanks.

The inequity of the cross rival is the whole point. Of course he is using that.

Les actually said that at the SEC media days.

1) LSU's schedule wasn't much of an issue because LSU sucked - Chris Low isn't citing statistics on LSU vs Ole Miss or Bama vs MSU... the issue at hand is how schedules have affected teams supposedly competing on equal footing

2) Florida was better on the balance than Tennessee in the 90s and LSU played them every time that Bama played Tennessee

I wish they would just move Auburn and Bama to the East, and move Missouri and Vandy to the West, then drop the permanent cross divisional games altogether. THERE. DONE DEAL. That way everyone keeps their traditional rivalry games - Auburn/GA, Bama/TN...etc.

The only one that might be lost is Vandy/TN, and most TN fans don't even view that as a rivalry. I know that game doesn't exactly blow the hatch off of the TV ratings anyway.

I know that Bama is not for this scenario though, because then they would be in the same division with Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Auburn, and most likely drawing a highly ranked West team every couple of seasons. Tennessee shouldn't be in the gutter forever either-at least they aren't SUPPOSED to be!

For Bama fans to say that this is all about "tradition" is a bunch of BS. It is about the recent tradition of them playing the most inferior of all the SEC schedules and having the least amount of hurdles possible en-route to the SEC Championship game.

Yeah that seems balanced. LSU and A&M vs Bama, Florida, UGA, SC, Auburn

Each team plays their 6 division rivals and each one plays their permanent east rival then you rotate the other 6 teams 2 a year every 3 years

2014 lsu

Florida
Georgia
Ken

2015
Florida
USCe
Tenn

2016
Florida
Vandy
Missouri

Alabama

2014
Tenn
USCe
Ken

2015
Tenn
Florida
Missouri

2016
Tenn
Georgia
Vandy

Or whatever combination that keeps it close to fair for both the east and west.

Their are some well thought out suggestions on this thread.I admire the football intelligence I read here often. But alas, all is for naught. None of these fine suggestions will go anywhere. LSU really has its back against the wall with this years SEC schedule and we have to come out swinging every game. Yea, maybe the rest of our conference thinks we're whining over the line up of the teams we play in 2013 but that would make them either indifferent or stupid. We simply have to impose our will on our opponents and hope to avoid injuries.

Funny..... the only people that don't get it are those in the SEC offices that are (amazingly) in Alabama. Hmmm.....

Must be a "coincidence."

even though LSU sucked, they still played FLA every year. I'm pretty sure FLA was better than TENN in the 90's.
