looked ALOT better than Jordan Jefferson. Lee looked more comfortable in the pocket with good poise to avoid sacks and get throws off with pressure coming (hard to analyze though since they know they are not getting tackled). His arm strenght and accuracy both looked better than Jefferson.

I have always been a fan of Jefferson and have seen why people believe the potential is there, but if what I saw was any indication of the future of our team; I am not so sure that I would rather have Jefferson leading our team than Lee.

I know Lee had the 1 pick six, which we all hated to see, but I still liked how the way he conducted the offense more so than Jefferson.

Makes me wonder if JLee wouldn't be more effective & poised if he didn't have to worry about being the starter & making a mistake.

Lee was fine in practices in '08 too....and the few times he came in last year he sucked it up.

Matt Mauck had 5 interception in the '03 spring game....they mean nothing.

Lee looked like a real QB, Jefferson looked like a somewhat capable backup.

The coaches have to work with Lee on his pick 6 tendencies. It's gotta be either mental or Crowton just putting him in bad positions. (Probably a combination of both) But they have to get Lee's confidence restored... And the team's confidence in Lee. Talent-wise, Lee is a better QB then Jefferson.

I love short, fat, and slow guys running my offense.

Richard Murphy is a Spring Game star, but that's just it, it's the spring.

with pressure coming

What pressure? He know's he is not going to get hit in the Spring game. There's still a lot of time left in the summer, the best guy on sept. 3, 2010 will start sept. 4, 2010.

Do you not understand that just because something is written parenthesis you are still suppose to read it? I had already made that point genius...

Also, it's not just another practice; but definitely not like a real game.

I too watched the spring game a couple of days ago, and had the same impression of Lee. Then I had a flashback of the Louisiana Tech game. Flip a coin.

I was at the spring game and what you are saying is 100% accurate. I watched it a couple more times later and even though it was just a practice LEE was the better quarterback that day. End of argument. Does that mean he should start? No! but he has paid his dues and knows the offense as well or better than any other quarterback. He deserves a chance to win the job. Period.

Also the opinion of some of the players.

Not true, it is more than ONE PRACTICE. This is also coming from players that have been going through work outs since the end of last year, take it for what it is worth.

Lee is fricking garbage. Just look at the last game he started and look at the last game Jefferson started. Then tell me who should be playing.

link?

all I've ever heard is that they have complete faith in Jefferson. Hell, they all quit on Lee when he started in 2008 because he was awful.

If Lee can beat out Jefferson, I'm all for it. That said, Jefferson looked as bad as I've ever seen him in the Spring game. I don't know what was going on, but he seemed to have regressed, even on the simple things. It was by far his worst performance that the fans have seen.

Things chance. Will be interesting to see if Lee got the kinks worked out. Both QB's have the talent, both were turning into head cases. Hope for the sake of the program both have made great strides.

Some people have a QB preference and prefer to drop a deuce on the current players. I don't really care who is behind center as long as they are effective in moving he chains and scoring points.
