Because the cup cake games are eliminated .

I'm curious, could you compile the numbers for our run-run-run-punt scenarios?

A rant narrative is bullshite? Color me shocked

Okay, now add in the possessions that were run, run, run and punt.

So, LSU ran/ran/pass/punt nine times in 156 drives (5.6 percent)
This stat shouldn't take into account all drives, but only the drives in which we punted.

Here's the CORRECT stat. Of all drives that ended with a punt 35.85% ended with the exact sequence of plays in the exact order of Run, Run, Pass. 18.9% ended in the exact sequence of plays RUN, RUN, RUN.
I was VERY conservative in counting what constituted a Run, Run, Pass, as there were plenty of drives that started with pass, and then ended with run, run.
As you can see, 54.8% of all punts were preceded by either Run, Run, Pass or Run, Run, Run.
Again, that doesn't include Pass, Run, Run, or Run, Pass, Run.

trooploop....why are you pumping sunshine today? You have been called out as an official sunshine pumper. Worst post EVER.

So not really that much then. You also arent counting when those punts happened.
Once again you just dont like the stats that are postes so you have to make knew stats to support your arugment.

Thats utter bullshite. It most definitely should count all drives.

So lsu playing bama (1st ranked defense) and florida ( 7th ranked defense) is the same as bama playing tenn (37th ranked defense)and lsu (23rd ranked defense).
No no its not. Ill stick to entire season and not cherry pick stats.

How many times last year did we score on the opening drive last year?

Why? How is it helpful at all to include all drives?
If I ask, "what circumstances lead LSU to punt the ball?", You would isolate the drives you had to punt, and look for a pattern amongst that data.

Oh...nvm...please go do illogical with other posters, although I'm pretty sure most of this board is tired of your garbage.
I'll not instigate your little child tantrums.

The "correct" stat? I was looking at drive starters that started run, run, pass, punt. There's nothing inaccurate about the stat that I posted.
You chose to put together your own stat using different criteria. It doesn't make mine incorrect.
As I posted, I decided to do it because for some reason the narrative is that so many LSU drives start with two runs, a pass, and a punt. That sequence is very rare.

But if you still end up punting the ball after run, run, pass, it's equal in the sense that you don't get any points and you give the ball back to the other team. Seems like the net result is equal.

Can someone do a stat on the "hurry up dive after a big play" play?
Posted on 8/28/16 at 7:46 pm to Irish LSU Fan
As for the "sunshine pumper" accusation, I'm guilty as charged. I don't feel the need to criticize everything we do.
The 2014 offense was a struggle, which wasn't unexpected based on who waa lost from 2013. Last year's offense wasn't nearly as bad as perceived and I think it will be top 25 nationally in 2016.

Considering the rant thinks every drive consists of run, run, pass I'm gonna have to disagree

lol. Hell, why don't you just figure out how many times we punt overall? Same net result.
The whole point of the guys thread was full drives that started a certain way, because many people call that the norm.
You're criteria, a drive could be 15 straight passes, then run run pass punt. Same net. But those are not the narrative used by negas.
