He was on the 98 and 99 teams. Two of the worst LSU teams I have ever seen.

I remember finding out DiNardo had been fired by a friend of mine who worked there at the time hiding under a desk and making phone calls to everyone he knew to spread the news. No text, no twitter, etc.

I think they quit letting freshmen do interviews after that.

I thought Rondell was great at Destrehan until I saw this guy wearing #20 looking like a fricking stud. Looks at the football program......#20......Edward Reed

Think Burrow and Brennan.

Burrow is to Faulk and the fondness of fans to Brennan would be a the same as Mealey.

Mealey and Brennan were very talented but remembered fondly bc they are good people and stuck with it as long as they did.

I was at that auburn game when he had over 200 yards rushing and damyune craig drove down the field and beat lsu. That’s why I didn’t go to the Florida game. Kicking myself now.

This is a really bizarre narrative on this board - they were both elite backs.

10th all time in total career rushing yards, while backing up Faulk.

I may be mistaken, but I think concussions were his problem at LSU.

Totally disrespectful to Mealey. He wasn't Kevin Faulk but he was 6th in school history in rushing yards and 5th in rushing TDs when he left. Brennan started like 4 games.

I was in the stadium, once, when they announced he left the game due to concussion. I only remember because it was so distinct and so unusual for them to be so specific.

The Diesel man. What could have been. That was my JR year at LSU.

The Diesel was something special. I remember that 3 or 4 game run he had where he was tearing up teams. That Auburn game was crazy. Sad tale, would have been a LSU legend.
