re: LSU vs Southern Cal September 29 - bruintiger on 9/29/14 at 3:10 pm
I was there....my senior year of undergrad...was in the student section with a non student date who used a regular ticket....it was truly heartbreaking; especially the penalty against Benji (against whom I played in high school)...once that happened we know deep down how it would turn out....To this...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Nothing New But A Tad Bit of Information From a Recent Practice - bruintiger on 8/27/14 at 3:42 pm
Calm down...remember Joe McKnight...nothing is certain, even if he is "unstoppable" in practice. Heck, Trent Richardson was comparable coming out of high school and he was not ever "unstoppable." Is Fournette much better than Jeremy Hill? I doubt it......Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (7)
re: Out of State Recruits - An Observation - bruintiger on 1/23/14 at 9:08 am
Reason 3 is not the reason they are leaving. West Monroe kids are going to bama because it is a more successful program and nearly as close as Baton Rouge. The New Orleans kids go elsewhere for one obvious reason....after growing up in New Orleans it's not exciting to go down the road to baton rou...

I love lsu....got two degrees there but we have to understand that for these New Orleans kids Baton Rouge la is no big whoop...considered a step down in city status....I mean really....Los Angeles and one of the best schools in the country and going to lsu in Baton Rouge....the question answers itse...

re: Tennessee will never be back - bruintiger on 8/19/13 at 2:14 pm
I do not think Tenn "will be back" mostly because it has a weak recruiting base. Tenn used to win in spite of this weakness by being a "national program". For a variety of complex reasons this weak recruiting base caught up with Tenn and they are no longer a "national program". Once you lose that...

re: ESPN - Les Miles is the crusader for fair scheduling - bruintiger on 8/2/13 at 10:18 am
What if Tenn never becomes a contender again....what if it lapses into permanent mediocrity....there are certainly as many reasons to believe that will be the case as there are reasons to think Tenn will rise again....they have a weak recruiting base and for a variety of complex reasons this has fin...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: LSU RB Jeremy Hill Suspended (Updated 4/30 with Nola.com story) - bruintiger on 4/30/13 at 11:58 pm
Hillar Moore explained it pretty well. It appears that the judge supervising probation institutes a review hearing on possible violation, but that review is decided only after the underlying charge (battery) is decided. If Hill is determined to be guilty of battery then the supervising judge can r...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (5)

if you are on probation for sexual battery you probably cannot drink at a bar and you certainly should not be drinking at a bar. This guy had a very very close call and got a second chance and it boggles the mind that he would be out at Tigerland on a Friday night... He is asking for trouble....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

I do not care if he went to a bar....I have closed many in my day but i was not on probation for sexual battery and if I had been I would not have gone to a bar. Probabation means you should stay home and out of trouble or risk the consequences.......Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: LSU RB Jeremy Hill Suspended (Updated 4/30 with Nola.com story) - bruintiger on 4/29/13 at 1:17 pm
Probation for a sex crime is very serious business. Hill was not on probation for fighting or drinking but for a sexual battery on a 14 year old. Supervised probation for two years means avoiding the slightest infraction. Hill would have been in trouble if he had witnessed a fight at a bar. To b...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Chris Low today on the Nick Saban rumors. - bruintiger on 12/28/12 at 10:06 am
I dont think he is going anywhere but there is a simple and effective way of stopping the rumors. He can state explicitly that he is not going anywhere and that he will be coaching at bama next year. For some reason he will not come out and say that. His track records on the truth is not good, bu...
