Heard him on XM with Chris Childers this morning.

He harped on the whole issue of pushing the game to Sunday. "I want to know if this was ever proposed to Foley, and what his response was." Says he has not heard any good explanation out of Florida as to why Sunday or Monday was never considered.

Geaux Rick.

No, it was the SEC responsibility.... Florida gamed the system and the SEC failed to take action.

S-E-C

Florida did nothing wrong, at least officially, they just keep the schedule the same knowing the game was not going to be played. The SEC failed to make Florida play its cards.

Florida smarter > SEC

He should write a song about it.

I thought it was between the two schools but mainly on Florida ... I do think the SEC should have stepped in when UF kept delaying making a decision.

eta: I guess my first "blame" is on UF for not working with LSU and then SEC for not stepping in. But the blame game won't help.

Saw that. Sounded like that was the general consensus on the panel. Why was there no contingency for a potential Sunday or Monday game?

RN usually speaks pretty disparagingly towards lsu but he's actually speaking truth here

that jerk. How dare he expect the state of florida to think of football at a time like last weekend. How insensitive.

that is the response that all UF fans will give.

Neuheisel actually has a brain in in his head....unlike many other commentators. He was a very good coach at Colorado and even UW, he's also got a law degree and is actually a pretty good lawyer so he at least knows how to think.

Coach Pat Dye said the same thing. He thought Florida should have been given a loss. Said Florida didn't want to play and used the hurricane as an excuse. Said the Florida QB was not ready. He got irate at first at Foley, Sankey and Alleva, but when he found out LSU offered to play on Sunday he changed his tune and said FL needs to explain why the game wasnt played. For a man of his age, it's amazing he could come to this proper conclusion while so many in the media are too stupid still to grasp the truth.

Media rarely takes sides, just presents both to appear "fair" and keep the conflict going to boost ratings/readership/clicks.

As the days pass, I am giving more props to Florida. Of course they chickened out, but they did what they had to do to give them the best chance at a SEC Championship. Florida got away with something unprecedented and tricked the SEC.

That's pretty much my only complaint about him. His songs are cringe-worthy.

Amazingly, the hurricane missed all of the UF volleyball and soccer players' families as well. It's quite the anomaly.

The SEC is the culprit. UF did what any coward would do under similar circumstances...run and hide.

No, he is an idiot.

Florida did nothing because it was in their best interest to do nothing. Why did Florida do nothing, because the SEC failed to do its job force them to show their cards. LSU was proposing things... Florida was probably like," we'll think about it... but Alleva can you stop calling us".

There is nothing complex about this.

That's funny because Foley didn't mind making women teams travel for Saturday Soccer and Volleyball games. Foley hates women!
