What year did you attend your first LSU game?

Would LSU consider a ticket exchange for the 50-100,000 fans outside?

Fans leaving early all started in the Les Miles era. With LSU leading, in most games, fans got tired of the steady diet of running the ball down peoples throats, as Miles would try to portray Mr. Nice Guy, thus no exicitement and no fun, for the fans. Teams like Oregon don't care if they are up by 20-30 points, they will run options and throw on first down. And why? For the players and the fans.
FALSE!!!
Fans have been leaving since I have been going to games. My first game was witnessing Charles Alexander run all over Kentucky. The stadium was half empty at the half for that one as well, and the weather was perfect! BTW, I stayed for the entire game Saturday night!

Does anyone remember the West Virginia game a few years back? Good opponent, never a blow out, good enough weather and about 50,000 fans in the seats in the third quarter, but you keep telling yourselves it was the rain.
Hell, you don't have to go that far back. Last year against Mississippi State. 13 point game in the third quarter, State's got the ball on our 25 yard line, and you could hear a pin drop because 1/3 of the stadium cleared out at halftime, and the rest didn't seem interested in cheering.

Why couldn't they allow any student with a valid Student Id to enter the game at half? Many do not get tickets, so as their classmates leave at half, they can let another student into the game. Count 100 that leave, let another 100 into the game.
It used to be general admission anyway in the student section..... it might be time to go back to general admission seating.

Great idea, lets see how that works for the tamu game

quote:well good. Atleast they now have an excuse to leave early. The fans dont deserve to have good games in TS when they leave early for 90% of them
Outside of Ole Miss and Bama all of our home games suck

You really think that tons of students who had an opportunity to buy tickets but didnt are waiting outside the stadium trying to get in?
If they didnt care enough to buy tickets then no way in hell we should let them in for free

Tiger stadium and its fans use to be the best in all of sports. The real fans somehow got priced out or new terrible fans are finding tickets are ruining once was the greatest experience ever

So, what did rich folks do on Saturdays in BR/S. La. do before they were able to "price out" the "real fans" and make going to Tiger Stadium and staying for a half the upper crust thing du jure?
Posted on 9/23/13 at 12:31 pm to Jim Rockford
...this thread is lame , and outlived is relevance .. please everyone , lets agree to stop the useless "our fans suck" threads .. can we do that ?

It's such a ridiculous narrative, it's remarkable how often it is repeated here.
Posted on 9/23/13 at 12:36 pm to Jim Rockford
I agree. We gripe all year waiting on our Tigers to play 6 or 7 home games and we can't stay at least until the 4th quarter. Modern LSU fans are sissy's and if you say your not then prove it. Embarrassing!

When leading, please throw the dam ball, especially when back-up qb come in, then WE'LL STAY!!!
You're either really good at this or fricking retarded, I honestly can't tell. No coach in America is going to throw the ball in the rain when the game is in hand and he can use a superior run game to eat clock. He damn sure isn't going to do it to please your fickle arse. I can't believe I'm having to type this, and again if you were being sarcastic then I apologize. If you weren't then this is one of the finest examples of rantard logic I've ever seen.

Pretty pathetic how many people left at half time.
I wonder how many people bitching about fans leaving early actually attended the game and sat through the whole thing.
I stayed through the whole game, but it was easy to do in the suite.

Frats won't care what it says. They'll keep showing up late and leaving early.

Are we any different than other crowds when it comes to leaving early for blow outs? Comparing similar type games do we leave any earlier than say Ohio State fans who blew out their game this weekend?
