I've heard Jennings has had some accuracy issues. And that was one of his biggest strength coming in. It seems all retting does is throw TEs. I wouldn't count him out of the competition one week in

The thought that anyone can definitively evaluate either of the freshman QB based on a week and a half of their first spring practice is laughable.

Both of them will be totally different QBs this time next year.

I've heard that Rettig's light turned on during the scrimmage while Jennings has been impressive from the very start of camp. Rettig is most likely to red-shirt and Jennings is likely to see action as a freshman.

So if you favor a white QB your racist, but if you favor a black QB your not?

With that said, I have heard AJ has slightly out performed HR at this point, but way too early to tell. AJ has the edge on seeing the field earlier because of his mobility. Time will tell, they will both be solid QBs for us in the future.

I'm hoping for a Jamarcus/Flynn type future here. With one that excels then leaves early, giving the other a chance to prove he's got what it takes to be a great QB as well. Ideally giving them each a chance to play in the NFL.

Hopefully after all that is said and done we have a guy behind them that is ready to play without getting kicked off the team :cough: :perriloux:

FIFY
As much as I am pulling for both of them I think Jennings has the edge right now.

This is the first I have heard of Jennings' accuracy issues...I thought he was really accurate.

All Rettig does is throw Tight Ends?

could have had a bad day, could have had some drops. sometimes I think ppl extrapolate a bit too much off limited info/ limited practice time. I know it's been said already, but these dudes are fresh outta HS and about 10 days into their first spring practices at a national powerhouse.

May also have something to do with the fact that his accuracy so far is against high school competition and drills in spring ball vs nobody...I'll wait to see how he and HR do vs our current DBs before I'll lable him accurate or inaccurate.

They like jennimgs cus he can move. Look for rettig to rs so the coaches can have separation. But if you thought any if these kids would come in and start, you were mistaken. If one if them does, we are screwed.
