An ad hominem attack is not defacto false when it relates to the credibility of a person's statements of fact which is exactly how I'm using it.

I melted last night. It wasn't the loss, it was how we lost. I knew it was coming, but I never saw that happening. Miles is the most stubborn mofo I've ever seen. It was like 1/9 all over again on a much lesser level. It might be even more maddening in the fact that there was absolutely NOTHING to play for so why not take a chance with Harris?

And no it doesn't dininish anything I said. I never said Saban was an a-hole. He's a dick to the media but his players always support him. Maybe they know him better? Just a guess.

Eat a snickers. Your starting to sound like a diva

Sat w/Chris Samuels last year on my flight down to a wedding in NOLA. He was heading down there for Bama's bowl game with Oklahoma. He was telling me how Saban demands excellence, blah blah. Typical speak. But he did say the problem with LSU is the coach and that this past little run could have easily been LSU at the top with a better coach.
It made me sad.
It made me sad.

What kind of dumbass quote is this ? No, it is about winning championships. Week 1, everyone is in the hunt.

he's a complete an utter dick to his players and coaches on his staff
with regards to football, saban is a miserable person (away from football supposedly he's a big hippie liberal guy, but that may have changed when he lost a bunch of money in bad investments the past 5 years or so)
there is a point in all of this, don't get me wrong. but he's a dick. that is not debateable
the 2 biggest names to come from the parcells tree are saban and bill bellichek. both are dicks, but both went in different directions. bill b is a dick to outsiders but due to being in the NFL, has a lot more control over picking up finished pieces. with this he's instilled a "patriot's way" that kind of has the team leaders be the dicks and weed out bad apples. saban is much more hands-on b/c he's a big part in developing guys...b/c he has to be. both are legendary in their absolutely almost inhumane demands from their coaches on staff

I think this team is more in the hunt for championships due to being in the toughest division in football. If we were in the ACC, we wouldn't sniff the playoffs with 1 or 2 losses.

this thread isn't really a place to discuss stupid rumors about les possibly flirting with waitresses
Are you the thread police or something?
The point of this thread is to discuss miles not being as great of a person as the largely accepted narrative says he is. These "rumors" definitely apply

We are paying this guy a fortune to go get shutout by a shitty arkansas team. It's a goddamned embarrassment. Our offense looks like we met in the parking lot before the game to talk it over

This is a direct quote from the leader of the Lsu athletic department

Well, if we assume that LSU will not fire him because we're hamstrung by the buyout, We need people to start digging...we need reason to fire him for cause, something Bobby Petrino-ish and preferably not something tied to the program or recruiting that will land us on probation or in trouble with the NCAA. We need an affair, a inappropriate relationship with a student, a drinking problem or DUI....something along those lines.
If Miles is 100% clean, so be it, good for him (and to a lesser extent good for us)....But if there are ANY skeletons in the closet, it's time for someone (be it a reporter or someone in the know) to force them out IMO.

This was the moment when, if you didn't already know what we had as an AD, you found out.

This thread is silly and petty. It's one thing to attack Miles about his coaching, but it's a whole different level to attack him as a person just because you're upset about a bad loss. There are numerous first hand accounts about how genuine Miles is as a person.
shite, just 2 weeks ago there was a long thread on the SEC rant about how much of a dick Saban is and how genuine Miles is. Many first hand accounts, and even Bama fans were agreeing.

The best thing Miles has done is totally negated the rabid emotion I had for LSU football. It's nice not really caring about losses anymore and just watching for the hell of it.
This exactly. I take a certain safe comfort that I don't care anymore, but that in and of itself just makes me sad. I am so indifferent now.
