It's gotta be either Reid or Woley. No one else has the tangibles to be a "sparkplug"

Of what "tangibles" do you speak?

Joe Alleva could auction off a spot in a lineup for the DH position and at least it would be an interesting out. Beau needs to be replaced because he has one job and he is far from great at his one job. It's not like he is busy practicing fielding balls or turning double plays. Sit the kid and maybe you find someone better or maybe you light a fire under his arse and he gets better.

Solid analysis, I bet you've been around baseball your whole life.

Obviously. I mean only baseball lifers would be able to identify such a nebulous concept of player as "sparkplug" by their measurables.

It's on days like today that I appreciate the conversations that can take place in early March vs Baylor when no one gives a shite but the people who watch the sport regularly.

I guess you're one of those "have to play to understand" types ... sorry to offend you by my interest in the sport.

Bottom line:

It's not going to be an old Romero or a stale Slaughter or Breaux, and certainly not Cheaude Jordan that gets us to Monday's game.

We need a sparkplug.

It's the ultimate catch 22. I want LSU to win, but with each win another ill-informed poster who relies on talking-points from 2012 will show up.

Anyone is better at DH. Hell just let Poche bat for himself if we gonna have an automatic out in our lineup.

Or the guy who says our 0.278 hitter hasn't had a hit since little league...

Reid can create sparks with that towel waving. Best I've ever seen. Your son sure can spin it.

It's because he's not a sparkplug

Exactly. Look what he's willed through just his dugout presence. First one behind Lange to greet the team back off the field too.

Think how pumped the team would get if it were their bench brother that put the team on his back when they needed it most.

That would be a hell of a sparkplug.
