We need a spark and I don't see anywhere else an insert would be more appropriate.

Options for DH:

Breaux
Reid
Romero
Woley
Slaughter

Ultimately, my vote for Reid comes down to his having a good lefty stick. He's got experience, a good eye, and hits to all fields for average.

If we think the slot needs a little power, maybe Woley is your pick. He's a free swinger and has an intimidating presence at the dish. Keeping our future in mind, I'd put Woley over Romero.

Breaux is a close second to Reid. He's got more power at the plate, faster on the bases, and a sweet lefty stroke (edit). I think Reid battles a little bit more and overall has better ABs.

Slaughter - I've really enjoyed watching him all year but he just hasn't had good ABs lately. Forcing him in seems a bit stale. He'll be all-conference next year.

Do you know what Reid is batting this year?

If we're switching up the DH, the only move is Coomes to DH, Slaughter to 1st.

ETA: Breaux bats left. This was just a terrible post all around.

Do you know how many at-bats he was given this year?

Very few. Give him an opportunity and I bet he steps up.

At this point I would not mind getting another left handed bat in there if you are facing a righty.

So you think his batting average is reflective solely of his lack of chances? Wow.

And for the record, he's had 22 At-bats... just 4 hits. 7 strikeouts, one of just 2 players that have more strikeouts than hits.

He's had plenty of opportunities.

Why can't you just DH Slaughter? Is he that much better than Coomes at 1st?

He has more range and a better glove, if both are going to be in the lineup, put the better glove in the field.

Of all options including guys on bench + BoJo, I say slaughter and BoJo are tied for last option. Jordan kills us in every aspect of the game. I liken him and Mayeri's relationship to Miles and Jordan Jefferson. It makes no sense

I don't know what y'all are talking about. Breaux IS righty. Anyone here ever watch the games?

You sound like someone who has definitely watched multiple games this season.

Remember last year when Breaux was listed on the roster as an OF/LHP? The frick were they thinking?

Maybe if they had him listed as a RHP he wouldn't have averaged 135 runs against per 9.
