So if Monday isn't necessary, then we win a super in two, Walker wouldn't pitch until Omaha? No. Just no.

LSU would be pitching Walker in the semi-final game to go on to the championship series (Assuming LSU goes W/W)and would have Lange available if Walker got shelled for the (if necessary game). I'll take those chances.

Regional
Gilbert-W
Lange-W
Poche-W

Supers
Lange-W
Poche-W

Omaha
Lange-W
Poche-W
Walker-?
Lange- (If necessary)

I don't think Walker's pitching Friday after 110+ on Sunday.

That is plenty of time.

You want your best pitcher to go ahead and pitch so that he can be able to possibly recover by the end of the regional if a game 3 is necessary, therefore we should pitch Lange.

WTF? Do you not understand how a regional works, or are you talking about a Super?

Lange is pitching Saturday in the regional. That's already a done deal.

If you're talking about Super Regionals...Lange is pitching game 1, & that's it. Lange isn't & shouldn't pitch more than twice in the next 2 weeks.

The guy you're thinking of is Poche. He might pitch Friday & Monday if necessary. Lange is a power pitcher that needs rest. Poche...not so much.

if any starting pitcher is pitching twice this week, it's Poche. no one else, not Lange, not Walker.

Poche on Friday, Lange on Saturday, Walker on Sunday. That is the recipe for success this weekend fellow Tiger fans.

If the rain that is predicted for all day Friday materializes, would that factor into our pitching choices? There is a chance that no games will be played here on Friday.

Possibly, but if they know going into Friday that no games will be played, it will just push the rotation back a day.

We'd be in Omaha.

I'd take that scenario all day, every day.

But then Walker would be cold in Omaha and with no real postseason experience.

Where's the scenario where Walker, Poche and Lange all pitch in the regional and we go to Omaha? I pick that one.

Are you saying you want Lange to start on Friday?

Please tell me that's not what you are saying.

Yes, if the season is on the line. It isn't, so throwing Walker on Friday is the dumbest of all the dumb ideas that have been thrown out.

ETA: I stand corrected if someone actually suggested Lange on Friday.
