I have to remember that Jennings came within one Trey Quinn catch of beating Bama (either of the last two possessions), and was tackled for a loss on 4th and one from the goal vs MSU on the opening drive.
Yes, its nice for the guys that they are not being prosecuted, but I was hoping that Harris, a guy with what I HOPED has a higher ceiling, would get his shot. Just HOPE. Yes, I know that he showed no poise in his few shots.
Now we get two more years of Jennings. He will be some better with another year of preparation.

I have to remind you that camp starts this Thursday

Harris showed no poise against Mississippi State where he almost single handedly led us to a 25 point comeback? Interesting take, maybe you would wait to post until you've completely sobered up from last night

And what makes you so sure that Jennings will be the starter ??

fair enough, and only had two hours sleep, too. I would have to wait until tomorrow to post.

Is Les Miles still the coach at LSU?

The best QB will play.
This will be decided by a couple of guys who are far more qualified than any and everyone on here.
They will make that decision with far more data than we have.
There is no coaching conspiracy to disappoint you. Relax and enjoy the season.

It's time to accept the fact that Jennings is our best option if he is the starter and continues to start. The truth hurts.

People that secretly wish for bad things to happen to the starter so the more talented backup can get in the game. Like the guy in the bar where I watched the championship loss was begging for JJ to get hurt.
It is just wrong. Dont do that.

I thought he will turn pro next year!! But he won't even play in the first game and it is up to BH to hold on to his starting job.

The idea that this will completely decide who starts is ridiculous and short sighted. I'm not a Miles fan but I will absolutely concede that he knows more about what's good for LSU football than I do.
If miles screws this up his seat gets really hot really quick and he knows this. IF Harris is the better option he will start. My fingers are crossed.

Thought I kept up with LSU football, but guess not. I missed where Miles named Jennings the starter. Either way, I will support the head coach's decision on qb because he is getting paid to win games and knows more than fans that aren't there every day!

It's been particularly bad the last week or so. Can't wait until there are actual games for me to get my fix.

Yep. And it gets worse from here. I have seen some solid informed posts over the years you just have to wade through a mile of shite to get to them.

I really don't understand the notion that Les doesn't play the best QB. His entire career at LSU Bears out that he puts the best guy in the game.
I'm sorry for all the guys who really believe in their heart of hearts that JLee was better than JJ. He wasn't.
If JLee isn't yanked in the "Game of the Century", we would've lost and never set foot in the national championship.
If he played in the national championship, we still would've lost.
Now step back from the ledge. There is literally no negative to having the three suspended players back on the team.

quote:Harris showed no more poise against Mississippi State than Jennings showed against Arkansas when he led the team on a come from behind game winning drive after Mettenberger got hurt. Small sample sizes are not always very good indicators. Harris did not look poised against Auburn. So which small sample should one base their expectations on?

There is no grey area to a lot of LSU fans.

How about we let the competition play out before we get all sad about who the starter is. The coaches haven't seen how much either QB has improved in the offseason
