Saw the other appreciation threads and decided to make one of my own after having a conversation with my friend that Randall Gay and Devery Henderson should eat free for life in Louisiana.

2001 SEC Champion
2002 Sugar Bowl Champion
2003 SEC Champion
2003 BCS National Champion
Super Bowl XXXIX Champion
Super Bowl XLIV Champion

I’m guessing there’s a typo in the Roman numerals as I didn’t expect Gay had an 18-year NFL Career.

But great call out. He was lights out but stuck behind Webster & Daniels at CB during his LSU tenure.

I feel like Devery was always underrated. I suppose it’s because he was never the alpha receiver.

I believe you are correct. Devery Henderson led the NFL in two different seasons in yards per reception but was a marginal receiver at LSU because he start off as a running back

Blue is one of my favorites. I used to see him walking around campus as he had some classes in the same building. Real nice guy! I’m glad he was successful. He deserves it.

I wasn't insulting him. I was just saying he learned the finer points of being a receiver in the NFL

I know Josh Reed started out as as RB and I believe Eric Martin as well.

You are correct. Devery came on a little bit later than Josh Reed did in that regard
