Bama had several 'uncharteristic' mistakes and turnovers. Fumbled kickoffs, etc. The odds just worked against them those days.

Line them up 10 times, Bama wins 7 or 8 of the 10, I'm fairly confident.

In Miles' time at LSU we had a 4th quarter lead in at least half or games against Bama. Nobody did better vs. Nick Saban... his Bama record is unprecedented.

If Nick had been successful enough to stay in the NFL just 1 or 2 more seasons, this whole 'history' plays out very differently.

QBs don't beat Alabama. Coaches don't beat Alabama.

Good teams with good players who are well coached and who make fewer mistakes than Alabama beat Alabama, and there have been very few of them recently.

That's reality.

Pro style adjectives aside none of those QBS ran vs bama they all won throwing the ball from the pocket. So this myth that you need a running qb is false the QBS that beat bama all had good games throwing the ball not running the ball.

It's not that you need a QB to actually rush the ball. You need a QB who can escape the pocket when needed, buy time, and find an open receiver.

Nobody is saying designed QB runs are the answer.

That kid pushed Alabama around. If some one told me that Alabama would have to rely on 2 special teams play to win, I'd chalk it up as a lost for Alabama. The onside kick and the kick return for a TD is what kept Alabama ahead and ultimately help seal the game. He led that team and leadership and being able to lead your team is underrated.

You don't win one even if you beat bama. See LSU, Tamu, Ole Miss.

Well no shite, probably because you have to, you know, beat other teams as well.

But the point remains, if you lose to bama, you do not win a championship. Not a single team in the SEC West has made it to Atlanta with a loss to Saban.

Well that and Clemson's inability to cover a tight end.
