Not gonna redshirt. Will play this year with the potential to a) have a special package for him to run and b)be QB2 by midseason if not sooner.

Don't expect a redshirt from everything I hear.
If thgisoffense gets points on the board like a lot of people expect, he may have the opportunity for valuable PT. Of course, Rivers needs it badly, too.

Again what is this based on?
Cameron has worked with mobile QB's before (Tyrod Taylor immediately comes to mind) and didn't use them in any "special" packages.

Didn't say that. I just said there is no history where he has done that. If he has said he will have a special package please link it.

I will be very very very surprised if CLM plays a freshman QB at anytime during the season unless we have injuries. We had all those special plays for RS that never got called in the yrs he was here.
I'd say a redshirt would be good for him.
