Adam what kind of draft grade are you putting on Jennings at this point? I know its early but surely you have 2018 mocks in your pocket.

Just like uga thinking they were the better team in 03 and 07. Yet LSU hosted the crystal while mark richt hasnt done shite with the plethora of talent in georgia and only one d1 program to share it with. One that has extreme academic restrictions.

Honestly, he looked better than Mettenberger in some areas of his game in spring. I'd be surprised if he isn't #2 on depth chart going into this season.
I'm most impressed at his poise, accuracy and pocket awareness. A freshman coming in with pocket awareness immediately is so rare.
Time will tell but Jennings looks like a steal and Georgia shite the bed.

I'd certainly like to make sure our #2 QB has at least some PT/experience if called upon. However, Miles certainly has an established pattern of not seeing to it that the back ups are prepared if needed preferring instead to run the clock out at the end of blowouts (he was furious because Mett called an audible once against Ole Miss when that PT could have been used to begin grooming Mett for last season). If he is not going to prepare him for the eventuality that significant PT becomes a necessity, then he should absolutely be redshirted at all costs.

IMO if hes as good as advertised this is a waste. If he's that good, he'll be gone in 3 years whether he redshirts or not. You might as well get him in game situations to prep him for starting next year. Hell even if he's great, he could stay that 4th year.
Miles has learned that red-shirting is a waste these days. He only got two years out of Michael Brockers.

Just b/c he's redshirting doesn't mean if there's a few injuries he can't have it pulled. Hopefully we won't see that. Mett will stay healthy, Rivers will get a little time, and Jennings will continue to practice vs one of the best defenses in the country everyday.

Ugggh whether he redshirts or not is not the take away from this! He has his head on straight and isn't looking to the pros before he even plays a down. Prepared mentally for school and not just football. Whether he redshirts is not really all that important. We already have rettig and who knows who else in the next couple of year.
We good at qb and he is at least open to red shirting! Read that as level headed indicator!

this statement is really crazy. he is not our #2 qb. he has never taken a snap in college. i'm also willing to bet you have never seen him play except one spring game and YOU annoint him #2? to be fair, others have also gone over the top and done the same thing. get a hold of your thinking man. it's just not realistic.
