Winning a regular season title shows you were consistently good the entire season, not just for one week

Yea if someone other than Vandy or LSU would have won the sect last year, i dont think anyone would have considered that team the best in the SEC.

These are strictly my opinion

8 locks for a host: (not necessarily national seeds)
Florida State - ACC
Miami - ACC
Virginia - ACC
Indiana - Big 10
Florida - SEC
Ole Miss - SEC
Louisiana Lafayette - Sun Belt
Oregon State - Pac 12

Solid on the Host Bubble: (5)
Oklahoma State - Big 12
Cal Poly - Big West
Rice - CUSA
Louisville - AAC
South Carolina - SEC

Good Side of the Host Bubble: (3)
TCU - Big 12
Washington - Pac 12
Vanderbilt - SEC

Wrong side of the bubble: (4)
LSU - SEC
Houston - AAC
Texas - Big 12
Texas Tech - Big 12

Miami's 6 conference losses are against the teams they will have to play to get the championship, Georgia Tech (2) and either Virginia or Florida State (2 each).

Not really, Georgia Tech has to play in just to get into pool play.

And its pool play so they play Duke and Clemson which they are 6-0 against.

Sorry bud.

You can't think like a fan. You can't even think logically. You have to think like the committee, which is all but impossible.

Am I the only one sick of this dick sucking love Fest for acc baseball? No freaking way three acc schools should be national seeds. Florida State got swept by Florida in the regular season.

What makes Miami(40-15) more attractive as a national host than LSU(40-14-1)? Miami has a better SOS by a ranking on 13 - 17, but the SEC has a better conference RPI at 1 - 3, than the ACC. Just don't get it.

The fact that they've won something like 27 of their last 30 games

Does LSU still have a shot at a national seed if we can win the SEC tourney?

ACC will be lucky to survive super regionals
Would not be shocked if LSU gets snubbed as regional host - LSU needs to stop playing SWAC schools

It would not be a snub if LSU did not host.

I don't mind people thinking we will, but let's not pretend that we are a lock or that we deserve it more-so than other teams on the bubble.

oh, not saying LSU deserves a national seed, but if Miami is going to be thrown in the discussion than LSU deserves to be in the discussion because if going off records, SOS, RPI, and conference RPI, there is really nothing that separates them.

Okay, they won 27 - 30. LSU went 4-0 this past week while Miami went 2-1.

You have to look at the whole body of work.

I think they're equally impressive if you are one of the top teams in your conference. Tournament play has a different strategy than the regular season.

I will mostly disagree, but I do think he has a point. The tournament is a better representation of the recent play, and it is probably more representative of the style of play a team needs to excel at to advance beyond a regional.

But I think the regular season should, and does, carry more weight.
