Potential Bowl Matchups

Looking way ahead, almost all of the potential matchups suck. No one is excited about playing Northwestern, Iowa State, or Purdue. I really hope we can somehow sneak into a NY6 bowl to play a big time opponent.

As inconsistent as LSU has been this year, I'd be fine with a layup bowl opponent.
I'd really like to see Etling go out a winner.

We could get a team like Michigan or MSU. Michigan could have 4 losses this year and get the Outback Bowl or something.

Latest ESPN bowl projections have us in the Belk Bowl vs. Florida State or Liberty Bowl vs. Iowa State. So here's so hoping we can improve on that

Only ways LSU gets into NY6 is if they win out and make the SEC championship or both Bama and UGA make the playoffs. In the lower tier bowls the only match ups that would be interesting would be Michigan or FSU.

Uh, even though the sugar bowl is a playoff game, the top SEC team that's not in the playoff still gets an automatic berth in a NY6 bowl.

Whoa! Bowling spec is getting way ahead of the game. LSU really needs to stabilize. We may still be 6-6 or 7-5 team or better if the team can stay focused. But advance chicken counting this early can only be a distraction from the game to game business at hand. Team players do read this stuff, people.

I'd like to see LSU play Michigan or Michigan State in the Outback or Citrus or Gator Bowl--the bowls with a SEC and Big Ten hook-up.

Outback bowl vs Michigan please. I've been dying for an LSU/Michigan bowl game for years now
