lsu has been a much better hitting team in the past hosting regionals. Play a 4 seads ace with our 3rd guy could be a 3-2 loss

Then again we didn't have Glenn last year so I guess that made the choice for us

He was just on wwl and yes he said that. He also said that the rainout on Sunday vs Bama is what set up this rotation.

He said he isn't about to risk Nola by pitching him on 4 days rest and also wearing him out before the regional. He also said that while the sect is important out is not nearly as important as the regional is and he knows how important it is to have Nola at his best for the regional.

Anyone that doesn't understand his thinking is not looking past tomorrows game.

@DellengerAdv: Vanderbilt will start LHP Jared Miller vs. #LSU. Miller is 6-1, 3.88 ERA. Against LSU in March, he got the win in G2: 6.2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER.

Remember when Vandy was mad about LSU pitching off in 2009?

Yeah Miller pitched good in game 1 of the DH against us in Nashville. It was Bouman's first SEC start so I knew that game was going to be tough.

It's always tough when you only get 2 hits against a SP.

not really... pretty soon Nola's gonna have to pitch on 4 and 5 days rest...

now if we're not facing Beede then throw Poche and then Nola on Thursday, but this is a 110% ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY. Nola will pitch this week, and we will not go home without him pitching once. I'd delay him either until we lose once or until the championship Sunday

Not to mention the raucous crowd there. They almost drowned out the 2 NC State fans behind me doing commentary on the ACC Semifinal basketball game.

I never suggestion I thought he was going to go twice in tSECT. And yeah, he may have to go on 4 days rest. So why the hell would you make him do it now? It's pointless. He's starting game two and only game two. If we get a 2 seed, he'll have to go in game one in the regional which would be Thursday. Then he's ready for a Thursday start in a super.

You would seriously hold him to Sunday? Then go again Friday? On just 4 days rest for his regional? That's even dumber than starting him tomorrow.

FWIW I think we should just start Nola everyday.
