Sonnyboy, get back to us when bama isn't getting prison bitched by Utah.

That's funny.

Because we've been prison bitched by Alabama for back to back years now. We've been sent home crying both times, like a toddler running and crying to his parents because the bully at school beat up on him.

Let's take a look at some of Saban's lesser accomplishments...

2002:
LSU 8, VA TECH 26
LSU 7, AUBURN 31
LSU 33, KENTUCKY 30 (pulled that out our asses)
LSU 0, ALABAMA 31
LSU 20, ARKANSAS 21
LSU 20, TEXAS 35

2004:
LSU 22, OREGON ST 21 (kicker missed 3 PATs)
LSU 9, AUBURN 10
LSU 16, GEORGIA 45
LSU 24, TROY 20 (but Miles sucks for barely beating them in 2008??)
LSU 24, IOWA 30

2003 was a great year obviously. Miles' years in 05-06 were pretty darn good too, 11-2 and 11-2. I guess 10-3 this year would mean our program has hit rock bottom.

I am so fricking jealous...and you are right.

I doubt the team or coaches are settling for anything. What most people refuse to understand is that the dynamic in the $EC west and Louisiana has changed dramaticly since saban left LSU after his 'mediocre' season in '04. When saban was here Bama was down because of another cheating (imagine that) scandal and the loss of tv and schollies...ole miss was down because they were still fighting the civil war...moo st was down because, well...everyone knows starkville is a blackhole in the universe...arkansas was decent and Nutt is always a formidable opponent...the aubies were the only team that could compete (see Bama loss of schollies) and Tuberville could, on occasion, coach a good game.
Fast forward to the now...the $EC west is loaded with talented, agressive coaches who not only know how to win...but are siphoning off much of the talent we used to get. This is not an excuse for Miles but is a realistic look at how much harder the job has become since saban fricked us in the arse and Katrina-Rita savaged many Louisiana HS football programs.

I love the fact that people fail to realize WE HAVE LOST AT LEAST 2 GAMES EVERY YEAR THIS ENTIRE DECADE EXCEPT 2003. Yeah, I'm relatively young, 23, and most of my LSU experience has been in this decade. But why do people think we have had consistently better records than 10-2 over the past decade. We haven't. We won the SEC championship in 01, 03, and 07. It is now 09. It's not like we're off schedule. Get a grip people, stop acting on emotions and use a little logic before you start ranting.

Gee, is it possible that Saban is a better coach now than when he was at LSU? At Miami?

He's only about to produce back to back undefeated seasons in the SEC at Alabama. That's back to back SEC West Titles.

We'll see how much farther they can go this year. Hopefully, for LSU's sake, it won't be far.

Wow...We have some kid telling us to quit bringing up the past (1990s), yet his name and avatar are from a TV series that originally aired in 1989 (1987 if you count the junior high years).

Classic idotic post from an idiotic kid to young to remember both the ups and downs of LSU football over the years.

These are average, to above-average, teams.

I would leave Washington out of the average to above-average category. They are 3-7 this year so far.

maybe he is better now.

i'd like to see if Bama would go back to back undefeated in the SEC having to play Florida every year and Georgia in home-home. i doubt they could.

ETA...i mean playing Florida in the regular season every year, not in the SECCG

And since when do ranters consider SEC Championships a success? If there is not national title we have talk of fire our coach. Hell even the last time we won a title people were wanting Bo to go. LSU has fans who are never happy.

[quote]That's funny.

It is, sonnyboy. It's very funny.

Because we've been prison bitched by Alabama for back to back years now.
Let's see, an OT loss with bama getting 7 points as a gift on a pick6 and another gift when a normally sure handed reciever drops a TD pass that hits him in the hands.
Then after losing our starting qb, rb, mlb, center, and cornerback bama comes from behind in the 4th to win the game, AFTER LSU gets robbed by Ray Charles on the field and Stevie Wonder in the booth.
Sonnyboy, your attempt to compare those losses to what Utah did to bama in the Sugar bowl proves you are terminally stupid.

We've been sent home crying both times, like a toddler running and crying to his parents because the bully at school beat up on him

And this proves your parents are genetic idiots that produced the likes of you.
Sonnyboy, you are humiliating yourself in front of adults here. Do yourself a favor and quit posting until you either reach puberty or at least gain some fundamental knowledge of football.

Bama is on its way to its 2nd consecutive undefeated regular season. Even the ultra talented 2006 and 2007 LSU teams couldnt do that. It sucks to think that, no matter how much talent the team has, we are always going to incur at least 2 losses.

Dumbass, two losses every year is waaay better than undefeated. When are you going to get that through your head.

Quit accepting the illiterate cow bowl/cotton bowl/etc. just because they are bowls we would have loved to go to ~20 years ago. I am not old enough to fully remember the "bad" years with Curly and Dinardo, but it has absolutely nothing at all to do with what happens now.

Just because we had bad years, and loved the fact that we even got to play in a bowl, does not mean we have to settle for mediocrity now. And no, this younger generation is not made up of bandwagon fans that hopped o after the 2003 season.

If you can't acknowledge the fact that LSU has won TWO championships in the past few years and is now an elite program (yes, we are an elite college football program), then go cheer for a school that settles for a ho-hum bowl every year. Anything less than SEC championships is a let down season.

You are an infant. An SEC championship every season is absurd.

We have only beaten two teams with winning records so far this season: Georgia and Auburn. Georgia has 6 wins and Auburn has 7.

So the fact that we lost to the #1 and #2 team in the country makes us suck or means we're mediocre?

Going in to this year, did you honestly think we would go undefeated...or beat FLA or Bama for that matter? If you did, you were lying to yourself.

8 and 2 is pretty much where everyone here with half a brain thought we'd be right now. Heck, a lot of folks even thought we'd be 6-4.
