Miles used Michigan, perhaps unintentionally, for a raise at LSU before. He later used Arkansas this way. Perhaps the AD has reason to think a phone call from Miles is raise-bait and doesn't want to waste his time participating in such a charade.

Why??? Why wouldn't he want a brilliant coach like Les? What could possibly be holding them back? Why doesnt he like Les? He's just a big lovable guy and an elite coach right? And he is a "Michigan Guy".

The reality is that Michigan should be salivating over getting Les but they dont seem to be.

If you read the SI issue after LSu won the 2007 title game, Miles even says that he "made every effort to talk to them after the game" but it didn't happen.

Miles uses those jobs as leverage to strong arm Alleva. Miles isn't going anywhere unless he's forced out.

or maybe its just the AD that doesn't like him and is the reason he's about to get fired. ask Michigan fans if they'd take Miles. there are a couple on this board that said they would in a heartbeat.

don't be blinded by your hatred for Miles

You mean the guy that's getting run out of town due in large part to the terrible coaching hire he made?

Michigan doesn't want Miles.

It's more difficult to recruit in the Midwest these days.

Michigan needs a great recruiter no matter where they are...

Not a guy who sits on home talent from his backyard...and even loses a lot of those to West Coast and Bama/Florida.

Dont be blinded by your love for Miles arse hat. We'll see... So you say "there are a couple on this board that would take him in a heartbeat"... wonder what an actual search committee would think?

I would love to see Less get things together and correct the multitude of prolems on this team. I just dont see him being capable of doing it. unless he removes himself from the equation.

no you don't. your use of "Less" indicates otherwise. by the way...a coach can't "correct" youth and inexperience

Reading that article, they are still stuck in the mindset that they need all of Bo's boys to do everything.

Also, Jim Harbaugh would not go to Michigan, there's a lot of "history" between them.

It would be intriguing though if Miles did entertain offers from Big Blue....lot more money from boosters at Michigan and the fact that Michigan has been on what amounts to a 6-7 year slide could convince them to open up their wallets
