How does their grass taste?

If they look to replace Hoke you'd think Michigan would consider both Miles and Cam. Both are Michigan guys and both would probably be on their list (Cam maybe moreso).
Having lived in Ann Arbor for the past 9 years, I've got a different perspective on what the Michigan folks think. The rumors I've always heard by those with connections is that it has never been a question of whether Miles would be a good coach. They concede that. It has always been that Carr does not like Miles for personal reasons - something from the 80s. This opposition, along with other powerful people, was apparently enough to prevent Miles from coming to Michigan previously.
I haven't heard anyone mention Cameron (I agree that one of the Harbaugh's would probably draw the most interest) but why not?
This is all hearsay, but it is Ann Arbor hearsay.

I'm a supporter of Les Miles, I like the way he takes up for his players & doesn't Throw Them Under The Bus, like some other coaches have done. This Miles to Michigan rumor has become too irritable for me, Miles, or Alleva, needs to silence it or head to Ann Arbor, this has gotten much more attention than I think it should have gotten.

I thought Miles consulted with Michigan on who to hire?
Posted on 9/23/14 at 12:43 pm to Dizz
I truly do think that if the circumstances were right, Les would leave for Michigan. He has pretty much accomplished all that he could here. I think he's interested, but I'm just not sure Michigan is all that interested.

I think that Bertman got wind of it and confronted Miles, and very likely told him that if he wanted to go to Michigan, start packing, and Pelini will coach the SEC Championship and the bowl game (remember, Skip didn't get where he was by always being a nice guy). The main reason I think this is that if you'll remember, Miles seemed somewhat agitated and angry at the press conference, perhaps because he had met his match in Bertman.
I've heard a similar story in regard to Saban's departure.
Saban, as of the evening of Dec. 23rd had decided against leaving LSU. After a brief Christmas Eve morning meeting with Skip, he stormed out of Skip's office, went out to the airport to Huizenga's jet, and signed with the Dolphins
Take it for what it's worth. Don't know if it's true or not.

I read what you wrot Captain Want and certainly wasn't TLDR. You bring up some very valid points and many I can agree with and who knows if Saban's second stint here would have been as successful as miles as I too remember after that loss to Ole Miss and Eli Manning, some Tiger fans were sick with NICK right then. Certainly we will never know but I do know again coming from a very close and dear friend of Terri 'saban's that NICK WAS a little disgusted at BAma after his first year. Course we all know that has changed and as much as I enjoyed all the "he gone" posts and flight tracker last year with the rumors of the Texas job , he is now entrenched at Tuscaloosa and aint going no where till he retires.

As a matter of fact, he never even returned calls to Les Miles
This is bullshite. Miles met with Michigan in person in Baton Rouge in 2011. Whether or not it was Brandon, I don't know, but there's a good chance it was him.

Am I the only one that remembers the voodoo BBQ meeting after the cotton bowl win?

Hey windhammontanatigers I bet your realtor is SH because she told me the same and has always been spot on with insider information based on whom she has shown homes to.

They simply want Miles to explain the full backfield, two tight end formation from the three yard line and how to surprise other teams with it.

Miles to Michigan

Why are we talking about this now?
Posted on 9/23/14 at 1:42 pm to batonrougebuck
Batonrougebuck, there may be 2 great realtors with inside info back in the day. Our realtor was LP and she and her uncle developed the Old Mill subdivision where we used to live in Geismar right down from Dutchtown Elem. She was such good friends with Terri and still is and like you I received first hand information from her about Terri and she confirmed that they really liked Baton Rouge and loved LSU but that Bertman And Saban were kind of going at it and that is why I always felt that Bertman may have short changed us Tiger fans on really trying to keep Saban. She informed me about 3 days before the press conference in Orlando that Terri told her that Nick was going to take the Miami job. Again she also told me and my wife that Saban was veryinterested in coming back after that first year at BAma. Really didn't like the admins, PAUL Bear Bryant, Jr. and others but that is all water under th e bridge now and according to LP , nick and Terri love it over there and are now firmly entrenched. Possible that your realtor may know LP real well and both were getting the same information.I just wanted to tell you that I truly believe that you are spot on with your story about how it went down with Herbstreit, Miles and Bertman. Others may refuse to believe it or think that it didn't happen that way but Im with you 100 per cent.
Posted on 9/23/14 at 1:59 pm to windhammontanatigers
Bertman always had a hard on for Saban, due to Saban being Emmert's hire. After Emmert left, the writing was on the wall.

TExasTiger68, I definitely concur with what you just said.
