According to Pollack, Desmond, & even Finebaum on CFL, Fournette is still in the hunt for the Heisman...they said that November will be to remember. I know its a long shot but for those 3 to agree on something like this for anything LSU is refreshing.

They just talk, and they have the SECN to worry about,so of course they'll push an SEC guy.

Lamar Jackson is by far the leader though, make no mistake about that. Leonard doesn't need any Heisman, we know how good he is no matter what.

800 yards in the next four games would do it.

Not sure. It's tough to not play 3 games, and then lose a game to a cancellation and still pull it out. It's fun to hope though I suppose.

i totally agree with you, Tiggerthetooth. Just fun to think its possible. i think the more amazing thing is that those 3 guys who happen to crap on LSU every time they can are thinking it.

He's the best player in college football. He won't win a heisman, but these guys want to keep him in the discussion, because he deserves to be in it.

He was one of the preseason favorites.

Of course he's still in the race. He just annihilated Ole Miss for 284. Ahead of him is Bama, Arkansas, Florida, and A&M. Voters know he was hurt early in the year. And he still had solid games at Wisconsin and Auburn if memory serves.

Now I personally don't give a huge shite about the Heisman. Bama's strength is against the run so if limiting Fournette's carries and opting for a different game plan creates more advantages to attack then screw the Heisman. But those next three games he could definitely feast.

Fournette is a solid receiver, and I think he can make a big impact catching the ball out of the backfield.

"He's the best player in college football"

He was certainly one of the 3 best last season and that didn't even rate him an invite to NY.

With his injury, his only chance of getting to NY this yr. is for him to go off against Bama and the rest of our schedule. Bama is giving up bout 70 yds. A game rushing. So, I don't see that happening, but we can always hope.

This is true. I heard a good realistic discussion on SECN with Spears and Stoerner. LF has to go out and have really good games and win them and be a leader in that win. If he can pull his team to a SECCG or even a playoff spot he has a good chance particularly if he goes off on Bama. Prime time game and lots of viewers.

LF can throw up some really good numbers and not win out and his chances will dwindle accordingly Right now he is simply back in the broad conversation.

Just like our team, LF7 controls his destiny. We have so much out in front of us for the taking. Just have to take it one game at a time and play at a high level. Just let it play out.

yep...LSU wins and he plays well, he's in New York. Now whether he wins it or not, I'm not sure. But I think he gets the invite to NY if LSU keeps winning and he plays well.

Can't count him out of the race, but its a serious longshot. At this point, Lamar Jackson would have to either get hurt or have multiple bad games and Louisville losses for him not to win the Heisman. If LSU wins out and takes the SEC and Fournette turns out some big performances through LSU's November gauntlet then maybe Fournette can take it if Jackson stumbles towards the end of season.

I think him just getting to New York would make everyone here happy. Even if he doesn't win it, he deserves to be among the finalists.
