Ohio State job and is not leaving Houston if they move to a bigger conference. Houston can pay any amount to keep him.

Ohio State ain't gonna have an opening for years and coaching at Houston is like coaching a glorified high school.

if he goes 6-2 down the stretch, i say sign him up full-time.

So 6-2 through 8 games equates to 10-2 and 9-3 type seasons which we didnt accept from Les yet that'll be ok for Coach O? Nah no thanks.

I'm excited to see Coach O get a chance to be head coach. If he does well I would be fine with hiring him. Coach O has to make a splash. I fully expect him to bring in a big name OC consultant this week to tune up the offense. Coach O knows the offense has to wake up to keep this job.

On a team you got the HC job 1/3rd of the way through the season? Yeah, that's acceptable. Don't forget, we're already unranked

Coach O, with head coaching experience at Ole Miss and USC is not a candidate, but Aranda with ZERO HC experience is?

Sure... sounds legit.

ETA: I'm not on the Coach O for HC train in any way at all, just trying to point out some sad logic.

Coach O has always been a bridesmaid for a reason.

Aranda's ascension says its all. Listen to him talk. Look at his body of work. The guy has a highly functioning football mind. He's a great recruiter. He's progressive. Attention to detail. He's a big picture guy. Coach O is a small picture guy.

If he ran the table and we couldn't get any of our top choices, then maybe I'd be ok with trying another year with him. If this wasn't a local guy, then everyone would be saying "HELL NO" based on his only real head coaching job at Ole Miss. They were awful with him. He did pretty good as an interim coach at USC, but they did have a lot of talent. Although he went 6-2, we have big expectations. Also, our team is loaded with talent this year and I think they'll look better just by not having Cam and Les do the same things over and over.

Right... "Always", except the times he wasn't.

And ZERO HC experience. Sign LSU up for some of that now.

That dude posts about racism 24/7. I started a help board thread about it a while back. Guess he never got the memo

EO has 0% chance of being LSU's next full-time HC.

I get the appeal of speculation and the topic, but it won't happen.

I mean, you do realize his time at Ole Miss was a complete and utter failure, right?

you do know that at USC, he was an interim coach, right?

you do know that after his failure at Ole Miss, he went back in his lane and went right back to coaching defensive line, right? That he has never been a coordinator at any point in his career, right? Do you think he just likes to coach defensive line that much?

You do know that Tom Herman had zero HC experience 18 games ago, right?

im sure you'd cut your dick off to have him

given the circumstances?

this means he goes 3-2 against bama, uf, a&m, ole miss and arky.

i mean, would 7-1 be enough? 6-2 may be borderline, but 7-1 surely gets coach O a contract right?

There are three "candidates" that could bring the Tigers to the next quantum leap: Kevin Sumlin, David Shaw, and Charlie Strong. If the program can somehow land one of these, you're talking about greatness.

Wait are you being serious right now? What have any of those three done to warrant a interview? Espectially sumlin and strong...that may be the most ridiculous thing I've heard all day

Nm- I didn't see the race card, but I do now. Lol
