We have a real problem witht the fans leaving- while we played just terrible in the first half- we seem to have a fan base especially inside the 10 yd lines that will leave the game in a moments notice- it is almost like- hey we cannot win the national title so I am going home- what is up with that. TAF better be careful as with the economy dropping and fans running to the exits- who will be pouring in all this money next year.

At least they show up for a little while, our fans wouldn't even show up yesterday to see us become bowl eligible for the first time since 2003.

We also have a real problem playing a complete football game. Wonder if the two are related?

Fans also left early when we were beating Moo State by 10 and we were still in striking distance of UGA.

The biggest problem with the LSU football program right now by far is the fanbase.

Parts of the fanbase is a problem, but its not them leaving games. Its the negativity of some fans. Plus the verbal attacks on players and coaches.

Unfortunatley the majority of our fanbase has always been like this. They cannot wait for any excuse to leave the stadium. Winning or losing, no matter what. If there's the slightest discomfort from either the score, the weather or whatever they have always been antsy to get the hell out of Tiger Stadium. It is truely the strangest group of sports fans anywhere in the country. I think it's the culture. They have always been about the partys. They are more loyal to their food, booze and pre-game and apparently post game festivities than they are the team and the game itself. Truly odd and embarrasing to say the least.

season tickets will still be at almost record highs. If they go into the tank next year, it could be a problem

This shite is getting old. All you people are bitching about the fans leaving early and the team needs the fans there and on and on and on. Last night when the stadium was nearly empty the team exploded. There is almost no correlation between the amount of fans in the stadium and how well the team plays. Face reality.

i was thinking last night that TAF should haven gotten the names and numbers of all those that stayed.

give those that stayed season tickets, even if it means revoking others. at least by doing that you have a solid 10-15k who will show up for every game, and will not boo the team/coaches. nor will they leave if we're getting killed.

Thanks for making my point about our knowledgeable and supportive fan base. Sorry 'dude' but you suck as a fan along with multitudes of other 'fans' that always can't wait to get the hell out of Tiger Stadium.

They should also get info on all the people whining about the fans leaving and find out why they weren't there. Tickets were available...Why so many no shows?

idk. i've been hearing something about it being too cold.

personally i thought it felt good, i'd take that cold, numbing weather over that ridiculous hotness that was the app. st. game.

If you stayed through that game, then you have the right to bitch about fans leaving during the game.

If you were at home sitting in your jammies in front of a fire, then you have no right to criticize others for leaving.

I didn't go to the game yesterday. My boys were playing their final football games at 9:00 am and 4:00 pm so I was busy playing parent. But I sat out in that weather all day and it was miserable. I listened to the Tiger game in the warm comfort of my home and I would not dare criticize those who left. But I also will give props to those who stayed and cheered for the Tigers. I am appreciative.

I mean, UM is horrible this season and I guarantee it was a hell of a lot colder in Ann Arbor than it was in BR, yet UM fans appear to have stayed in their seats.
