The job at Ole Miss was a mistake for Orgeron to take at that point.

2 years removed from a 10 win season.
3 sec wins in 3 years.

Derek mason at vandy won as many sec games in 2016 as Orgeron's enitre tenure at ole miss.

K.

Ive ran as many successful programs as ed Orgeron.
Ive had as many years being a successful coordinator as ed orgeron.

In fact, it has been a dead end job for every coach but Cutcliffe

So what youre saying Hugh Freeze is a far better coach than Ed Orgeron?

I doubt it. If choupique19 would have been named coach every coach on the staff would have left, Canada wouldn't be here, the recruiting class would be dead last in the SEC, and LSU wouldn't have been in a bowl game much less won it.

That's my prediction of your coaching ability and team and staff management skills.

So pretty much like Coach O at Ole Miss?

Oh, that's right. In the last 10 years he's found the magic potion that will make him a rival to Nick Saban.

I think I was pretty clear if you could read and comprehend. However, just to clarify, what I stated was that Hugh Freeze had to cheat at Ole Miss in a major fashion to have success there and that Ole Miss is a bad situation for any coach.

If Freeze was a better coach than Orgeron then he should have won against him this year when LSU was in disarray but he didn't and the wheels are coming off at Ole Miss and Hugh Feeze is probably in his final year in Oxford.

That's what I am saying.

You know damn well that if ANY other SEC team hired O as HC people would be laughing their arse off at the hire. I didn't like the hire but I do think he can be successful with the current formula of top notch coordinators in place and I hope O is here to stay because that means LSU is winning and winning big.

he probably has none. he couldn't make any decisions because there wasn't enough absolute proof available to base them on.

you, me or anyone else isn't going to convince these guys, rickdad esp, that coach O even has a chance to be a success at LSU. and even if he does, they will castrate him his first bad year. miles suffered a similar fate as he only had 6 or 7 really good years until he dropped off.

coach O will always have a failure as HC at ole miss and that means he's garbage forever.

the bottom line is that WE have coach O as our HC whether we like it or not. I prefer to look at that fact in an optimistic manner. I believe (no facts available) that he will be a damn good HC at LSU in 2017 and for several years down the road. looking at EVERY coach LSU has ever had, that's about the best we can hope for.

The firing of Les alone makes it a good hire. I wanted Jimbo, I also think Herman would have been an expensive disaster. So far "O" has made ALL the right moves. He's brought cognitive thinking and football reason that we haven't had in over 10 years. Will it all translate to winnings? Will shall see. But if anyone questions "O's" football IQ, or his unquenchable thirst for winning, they should pick a new team to pull for.

Amen, Brazos.

I think the situation which LSU chose has a lot of potential but we have more pressure on the Coordinators than most programs do. It is somewhat of a shift of responsibilities from the micro-management under Miles which I think is good. We have a great staff. Let them coach.

Yes and I think you are a Tom Hermanista who is a disaster about to happen at Texas.

I gave Les the benefit of the doubt for years! Defended him over and over. It was well past his time to go and firing him was the best hire for the program moving forward.

Shut up old man. You made a dumb spelling mistake and got called out for it. Maybe at mass you should ask the Lord to help you not be so sensitive...and how to spell.

Can you list 3 coaches that have been fired from one head coaching spot at the college level and went on to have big success at another top level school?

I'll save you the time. Gene Stallings. And he had about 20 years in the NFL, including NFL head coaching experience, in between college stints. That's it. Stallings is the only one. So we are hoping that Ed O breaks all previous data.
