Tell me how improving our offense doesn't make us more competitive when it comes to competing for the west.

It more than likely would make us more competitive. But other teams in the West are always trying to improve too. Other teams that we compete directly with have made big hires and made big strides in recruiting too.

I am. I think a prolific offense could instantly make us a playoff competitor.

So right now you don't think our offense will improve next year?

I have no idea if it will. Logic tells me that with basically the entire team returning on offense it kind of has to at least improve marginally. How much more we're able to improve and if that equates to a better W/L record remains to be seen because we haven't played a game yet because it's April.

“ to improve”

Get back to me in September or October or November. Discussing O improvements for football in April has been more than a little questionable for any number of years.

If you want to be all on board, knock yourself out. I’ve been burned too many times. I’m going to wait to see what rolls out of the gate, but hopefully it will make all of us happy.

Even by the nega-O's standards we improved in his first full year then took a small step back last year. To think Orgeron is incapable of improving the offense is silly. He doesn't have CLM's stubborn attitude.

The main thing that needs to change vs Alabama are the referees

Nope. The main things that need to change are the offensive scheme and the MINDSET of our coach and players.

The team needs to watch and rewatch this years national title game. Clemson, with a freshman QB, took it right at Bama and was never scared.

Bama has us beat every year before we step on the field. If O can’t change that this year, he never will.

Say what?

“Stubborn attitude”

Canada would probably disagree with you.

Why would LSU fans give a damn what he thinks?

There isn't one sane LSU fan that would say O has a more stubborn attitude than Miles...are you saying O is more stubborn?

Moral victories? Kinda like the way people use to say that a 3 loss season wasn't worth a shite but now say a 3 loss season is outstanding?

Those kind of moral victories?

3 losses with a new coach is better than 3 losses with the previous coach. Yall keep acting like we were elite since 2011 and we weren't...now at least we have hopes of becoming elite again

You're blaming posters for poor offense against Bama?

I dont recall O and E talking shite about the O.

Is it?

You just fricking said..." a loss is a loss."

Now you're saying that a loss today isn't the same as a loss 3 years ago?

Moral victories and all I guess.

When you begin interfering with your coordinator within a month and fire him after one season at a buyout cost of $1 million to LSU because you can’t get along with that coordinator, that certainly relates to a stubborn attitude. imo

We fired miles almost 3 years ago because he wasn’t doing a good enough job. Can we please stop using the man we fired as some kinda measuring stick O has to be better than. How about we use Saban or Jimbo or Mullen or Herman and not someone the LSU powers that be decided three years ago wasn’t good enough for LSU.

unlike you and some of the other CLM fanboys I see a reason to be optimistic about our team under O than with LM...really only idiots would not see that this team is getting coached better and trying to become harder to defend than what we had with the previous staff.

Those are called intangibles. They are subjective. Until the tangible results (w/l records) show it, one cannot objectively state that O is better than Les.

? Matt Canada never worked with Les Miles. Miles is too stubborn to have ever given Canada a look.

Remember that Miles is supposed to be the "expert" on offense. Orgeron's expertise is on defense.

And last year was a small step back because we had to reach for a new QB and we're down in the running back and on o-line. We made up for it as the season went on.
