One of my friends that's on the football team told me...

Everyone LOVES Joe Brady, said he is very fun to be around and is really really smart. Said he sees him as future OC. Also said that in the spring game they only ran around 20 different passing plays and they have over 70 as of now in the playbook. Should be a very excited year baws!

So he thinks this is Ensminger’s offense?

He seems like a great addition. No doubt it's his offense now, I feel like E will have some stuff to do with it but it's mainly Brady now.
Hopefully our offensive woes come to an end with the addition of him.

This may be the year we score against Bama after all.
It is completely unacceptable that everyone else who plays Bama finds ways to score but O and E consistently cant. Even The Citadel put 17 in Tuscaloosa. That needs to change. We had an OC who outgained Bama in 2017 and if Etling connects on those long balls to chark we might’ve won that game.

It may be Brady's scheme and concepts but Ensminger is the play caller. I think it's a good combination: new dynamic scheme with a veteran play caller. Hopefully, we won't be timid with our play calls and approach. We've lacked being aggressive for so long with the "don't do anything to lose the game" approach. That crap just doesn't work against better teams.

yeh b/c bama gets up for teams like the Citadel right? How many teams face bama in november after they get a bye? Every year bama uses our game to prove to everyone they are legit...they are probably as motivated to play us as they are for Auburn.

“ every year Bama uses our game”
Oh please, there is absolutely no excuse for Coach O and coach E to be 39-0 vs Bama in our last 2 games in TS. 63-10 in coach O’s 3 yr career at LSU is simply embarrassing.
Coach O has been making all the gametime decisions for LSU football the past 35 games. It’s time we hit Bama in the mouth and made them bleed.

you keep saying 3 yrs when it's been 2 years...that goes for Ensminger also. Taking over in the middle of a season is not the same as being the guy before the season.

Can you not see the changes he is making to allow us to match up better vs. bama? something we never did under the previous coach

How in hell did you come up with this? Lester? That you?

The main thing that needs to change vs Alabama are the referees. Hopefully they begin betting on LSU outright this year.

I've been saying that Ensminger isnt a bad game manager when he has someone else's playbook.
If Joe Brady creates a good playbook and E calls it, I have no issues with this.

Doesn’t matter. Arkansas has scored on these dudes.
Who else has been shut out two of the last three games against Alabama?
We have to stop playing scared against them, period. Stop making this game such a huge deal too as far as hype (I know, won’t happen, we can’t help ourselves)

“3 yrs”
Coach O has been on the LSU staff since 2015. He’s been in highly responsible LSU football positions since 2016. He has been the guy leading the Tigers on to the field for 35 or so games. One of the selling points used by Alleva was some type of continuation being important for LSU football. Coach O wasn’t some type of stranger to Baton Rouge, LSU, Louisiana or the SEC who got off the plane from the West Coast in January 2017 to take over this program. While I understand the basis for your comment, Coach O has had a lot to do with either the success or failure of LSU football since the last part of September, 2016.
Have we brought in coaches and players who might effect some improvement to the LSU offense? Yes. Will that in able us to be more competitive in regard to winning the west? I have no idea and I don’t see how anyone else does either at this point in time.

Remember when there were dozens upon dozens of posters (perhaps you were one of them) bragging about how o and E's gameplans destroyed powerhouse teams like Missouri, Southern Mississippi and Ole Miss the first 3 weeks they were in charge in 2016. then when the Bama game rolled around and the offense was shut down, the same posters all claimed it wasn't fair to judge them on the Bama game because they took over after the season started and it wasn't their offense?
I remember.

And by your friend on the football team you mean Tiger Ree, right?

For two years now I have been saying that Ens does not want the OC job full time. He is doing the job as any good supporting Tiger would until the right person/fit works.
Ens prefers to be there on a part time basis.

“ it’s mainly Brady now”
So the guy we pay about 400,000 is more valuable to the LSU offense than the two guys we pay about a combined 5 million?
A lot of weight is being put on the back of a 28-year-old coach who has never run an offense. Hopefully, it all works out.
