I don't think anyone here thinks JL is going to take us to a championship, but he deserves an even amount of playing time. It certainly can't hurt.

Maybe JL CAN take us to a championship. But, I know that JJ cannot based on what I have seen.

Think I saw last night that JJ is 10-5, now 11-5, as a starter. That's nothing to write home about, with the talent he has had around him and the receivers he's had to throw to.

I think jj should be the starter largely because jl is too risky to have on the field. if the defense can keep us in every game like they did last year, then I think we have more explosiveness and other ways to win 1) big play potential of shep 2) punt return ability of pp
3) ridley better long yardage threat than scott 4) defensive sack or causing turnovers (dl much better than last year).

in short, we have more ways to win a close game this year than last year and jl is too risky although I think jl should get at least 1 series or more each game.

Settin a pick six record isnt anything to write home about. honestly, it sucks we have to argue. Neither of these QB's are top talent. We are just fricked at that posish.

exactly. You can't have a superstar QB at all times, but LSU has a lot of talent and they need to lean on it.

What, in God's name, makes you think that JJ is less risky? Do you not see interceptions in the red zone? Sacks taken in lieu of getting rid of the ball? Intentional grounding in the pocket? Passes thrown at ankles? Running the option 5 yards deep in the backfield, and making poor pitches? Fumbling snaps?

And you don't see the "risk" in this?

So, you watched the Alabama game instead of the LSU game last night or are you just spouting the media love.

How do you know this? Based on what happened 2 years ago? Or are you basing it on 1 game last year?

Yet if someone complained about JJ and sacks I am sure before season you said he learned from his mistakes and has taken steps to improve.

Look if you want to pounce of the QB's at least give them both the same benefit of the doubt.

I saw a stat that last year JJ was one of the most efficient red zone quarterbacks in college football. Not to hurt your factual rant.

There is something to be said for consistency. I prayed JJ was the starter this year, mostly because he was last year. I know it's not the only variable, but you can't keep switching starters and expect success.

When JL was the starter, most were demanding JJ. Short term memory loss, maybe, I don't know. But you have to give them a chance to develop. I thought that went without saying, but I guess some people need to hear it.

JJ had some bad throws, but he also made a few clutch throws and made some good runs. I don't mind seeing JL come in to play some, but I haven't given up on JJ.

This place scares me.

There are people here that have watched LSU play for the last 3 years with JJ, and don't believe he presents a risk at QB.

I seriously question the sanity of some of these posters. How can anyone that has watched him play feel like he's our answer at QB? Are they retarded?

Personally, if Lee through a pick six in every game from MSU on but was able to put up 250 yards and 2 tds in every game, I could overlook it. Our offense is a lame duck with Jefferson under center.

At least JJ has looked good at times. Aside from the few mintues JL played last night I have never been impressed with him. Maybe he can turn it around, I dont know but we will prolly find out cause i think eventually lee will get sig playing time. I think JJ is still our best bet tho.

He completed 8 passes for less than 100 yards in more than 3 1/2 quarters, including an interception against a terrible football team. Let's look at some other options before our schedule gets tough.
