I know I am biased as shite, but he was going to be set up to make a shitload of money and he’s adored in LA. Going to Carolina to take on way more stress to deal with NFL divas seems like a pain in the arse. Let’s not forget the arse available to him.

But not having to go around recruiting kids seems like a plus.

There won’t be a Brees or Burrow to work with there

Sounds like he prefers to be at the NFL level or else he would be here.

If not Carolina, he would jump at any OC in the NFL.

2 to 3 million dollars might make you view things differently...plus the responsibility.

it was reported that LSU offered 1.1 range...and he still wasn't going to be the OC...

so it's no comparison to what the NFL gig offered.

Brady is well on his way to having a chance to become an NFL head coach in < 10 years

You cash in on this opportunity

How much money is he getting?

I don't think this is all money. It seems like he prefers to go to the NFL.

What's his end goal?
College head coach one day or potential NFL head coach one day.

There is no way he will top this year at LSU next year losing Burrow.

His agent is not doing his job if he's not looking out for the best interest of Joe Brady.
There is no way you can turn down a NFL offensive coordinator position which will open more doors than remaining at LSU. If successful as offensive coordinator with Panthers he will be getting NFL head coaching offers within five years or if not successful there will colleges lining up to bring him back to college game.

He prefers the NFL. South Carolina has better beaches. He's a south Florida guy.

He gone. Many thanks to him.

I get that, but I’m viewing it through the lens as a bro that works at a plant....

I’m sure I could be comfortable with whatever the LSU offer was on top of the LA cost of living.

But I’m just a simple LSU fan.

well the first problem is O isn't going to push out Steve, Steve has a couples years left, he likes to work.

So that being said, Brady would still be co-OC and you can't pay him more than 1.5M or so unless he's the sole OC

I'm thinking he got offered over 3M to go to the Panthers

It was a hard opportunity to pass up. And who knows, he may be around again someday.

As much as we all love LSU it's not the ultimate destination for most young football careers.
You can't crap on a high draft junior for leaving either

He’s getting paid

It’s the pinnacle of his profession

He doesn’t have to recruit which is a huge strain on anyone’s lifestyle

If he goes to the panthers and they light it up he’ll be a NFL coach before he’s 35.

Be happy that we had him and it went the way it did.

Being bitter about a man doing what’s best for him and his family is a poor look

Why would he leave when he can go fishing at people’s high dollar camps in Louisiana? Makes no sense

You’re right I completely agree. My arse would love to split a role with another dude to lessen my workload and still get paid a shitload of money.

All while working at the best venue in the county. As Swagoo would say; “I mean that with a tremendous amount of bias.”

Yep! He either does well, stays in NFL as OC or even a HC or comes back to college as an OC or HC. Can't blame him for leaving.
