There was one blimpish frat star who got in my face and I told him the only thing he wasn't beating tonight was Diabetes. I'm pretty sure I ruined his night.

So he could beat your arse? Just not diabetes?

This will be my first trip to Ole miss. Seems like a lot of people saying parking sucks. Does anyone have a good parking map on which lots you can park in without a pass, whether it's free or pay?

If you get there early enough you can park for free just off the square and walk over to the grove. Oxford Middle will have $5 parking with a shuttle to drop you off at the grove. The shuttle stops running about an hour after the game, but it's not a far walk from campus or the square.

Also if you're planning to cab home from the square don't count on it. There are so many people out there there aren't enough cabs. The night we won like 52-0 we had a bunch of guys try to flip our cab over when the driver wouldn't let them on

I've been several times. If I stay out of the grove they're obnoxious but it's OK. I was in sales and called Oxford was in my territory. I got along well there business wise. They were telling me how great the grove was and I had to go thru it at least once. So in 2005 we walked thru the grove. I didn't say nothing to any OM fans. My boss and his 14 yr old son were with my wife, 13 yr old son, and I. We of course are decked out in LSU stuff and my son is wearing his triple tiger necklace and p and g beads. A frat boy sticks a picture of a tiger with his throat cut in my face. A grown man calls my son an idiot and says this ain't f^&**n mardi gras. We got out of there and I ain't been back. I'll go to the games but not the grove. I hate OM. I'm done.

was there in 2011 and didn't have a ticket to the game. stayed in the Grove and took in all the mini chandeliers, candelabras, hot sorostitutes, and red solo cups.

watched the game under a seemingly friendly family's tent until I apparently said the word "go" too loudly on the long Alfred Blue run up the sidelines late in-game when he tweaked his leg. Was kicked out from the tent and followed the rest of the game on my phone.

After the game I had an Ole Miss fan walk up to me unprovoked and he shook my hand and said "Y'all put a good whoopin' on us tonight, y'all go win it all this year, y'hear!"

Overall, nice experience. If I go again I'll hopefully be in Vaught-Hemingway instead of outside.

Have been to OM many times and been treated awfully each time, completely unprovoked. "Don't act like an arse and you won't get treated like one" did not hold true for me or the small group I went with at all, on any visit.

My fave was the elderly man that called my friend and I "a bunch of pu$$ies." Or the fratbro that grabbed me by my collar and told me to shut up for daring to cheer a good play by the Tigers in a game where we were being crushed with no chance of winning. Or the gal wearing a rebel flag as a skirt that cursed us and slurred "LSU sucks, go to a real school" about 2 inches from my face.

They are white trash in white linen and although a spectacle, the whole scene is completely overrated. Their delusion about everything - history, tradition, winning, the "class" of their fanbase - knows no bounds. Will never go back to that hellhole.

I hate to say it but THIS

nailed it - they will never see me again !

This nails it. That's Ole Miss in a nutshell.

Like I said, I know some very nice people who root for Ole Miss. I've had some good experiences up there.

But that is not the norm for me. I'm an older guy, I dress well, and I'm pretty laid back. For some portion of the Ole Miss fan base, all that brings out the worst in them.
