ESPN writer claims:

quote:

And it takes only about 10 minutes to realize that the Ole Miss crowd takes its tailgating more seriously than any other school in the country.

has he fell off his rocker?! or was he hitting ESPN's kitty crack too hard today???

this is true.

We don't dress like we are going to church when we go to football games.

We don't look like a bunch of idiots wearing red pants and the fine china on the tables for tailgaiting.

We don't have flower arrangements on our tailgaiting tables.

let's see what else? Ole miss sucks.

Lucaslsu is right. They bring their real china from home to eat on instead of paper plates. In that respect they do take it serious. That does not make it better in any way. Give me a big paper plate of jumbalaya anyday over a garden salad with chinese croutons on fine china.

Went last year It was ok but dosn't come close. It would suck if they didn't make the hole crowd tailgate in an area the size of the track parking lot.

I will put LSU tailgating up against any other school in the nation. But that doesn't mean others can't throw a hell of a tailgate as well. I LOVE going to Ole Miss for a game. Their tailgating experience is quite different than ours but it is every bit as fun. Although their football program has come upon hard times over the past 3 decades, they do have PLENTY of tradition which is nice to see. Plus Ole Miss has an abundance of fine southern belles. All in all a GREAT atmoshpere for a football game even if their on field product has been subpar. So besides it being Ole Miss, what the hell is there not to like?

The number of tailgaters definitely doesn't compare, but I can't judge how seriously they take it. Taking it seriously doesn't mean doing it well. I'm sure Charlie Weis takes coaching ND seriously.

i love going to OM to tailgate,too--mainly b/c they jam everyone who wants to be seen into the Grove and surrounding areas, leaving tons of good spots to tailgate in other areas of the campus--plus it's usually colder weather and that makes it fun.
